The Samsung Galaxy A35 is an elegant smartphone with features that would meet the needs of modern, everyday consumers. But as with its predecessors, it carries a similar premium of Rs 30,999 for the base model of 128GB built-in storage to deliver the same. In the past few years, this upper mid-tier segment has drawn a lot of competition. So, if you want pure specs, you can find better options such as the Motorola Edge 50 Pro and Realme 12 Pro Plus. Both handsets ship with Qualcomm's powerful 7 series processors and quad cameras at the back. If you're looking for beauty with brains, then the Vivo V30 is also a good option, especially considering it's the first V series handset with Zeiss certification for imaging.

The Galaxy A56 5G gets the basics right with a sleek design, vibrant display, and dependable battery life, making it a strong all-rounder in the midrange segment. It may not be the flashiest, but it's built to last and delivers where it matters. That said, for its price, the Galaxy A56 faces a lot of competition from phones such as the OnePlus 13R, Xiaomi 14 CIVI, and Vivo V50, all of which offer fairly good cameras and more powerful performance. Not just that, you also get a good combo of battery life and blazing fast charging speeds. So, if that's on your priority list, maybe going with the above options will be more beneficial.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra shifts focus from hardware to software and AI, offering a more refined experience. While its design is similar to the S24 Ultra, it still features one of the best smartphone displays, impressive performance, and long battery life. The cameras deliver consistent, high-quality results, and One UI 7 adds customization, with Samsung offering seven years of software support. However, it isn't without flaws: the S-Pen lacks Bluetooth, charging speeds are slow, and the shutter speed can miss moments. With the S24 Ultra priced Rs 9,000 lower, it remains a solid choice if you don't need the S25 Ultra's new features.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra impresses with its robust hardware, featuring a sensible higher-megapixel camera and a smooth transition from 3x to 5x zoom. Despite a slightly less powerful custom chip, it adeptly handles all tasks. Noteworthy display improvements, including an anti-reflective coating, stand out, though the phone's weight remains a drawback despite a titanium build. Software enhancements and reliable battery life make it a solid choice, though charging speeds maintain a consistent performance. Despite ongoing jokes about its cost, the Galaxy S24 Ultra stands as the top Android phone.

The Galaxy A55 is a solid mid-range phone with a minimal design, good display quality, and a reliable Exynos chipset. The phone mostly impresses but isn't a major upgrade over the Galaxy A54. So, if you are still using that phone, no need to upgrade. But, if there's an older model you want to change, this is a good option provided you are looking for a reliable mid-range phone. As for the alternatives, you can go for the OnePlus 12R, which comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and is a performance-centric device. The iQOO Neo 9 Pro is another decent contender for hardcore gaming.

The Samsung Galaxy M35 offers solid performance, reliable battery life, and good daylight photos. However, it's heavy enough to double as a weight. The low light photography is somewhere you will have to compromise. Additionally, for superior gaming, you might want to explore other options.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 is a compact phone featuring a 6.1-inch AMOLED display with uniform bezels. It's powered by the Exynos 2400 SoC, which excels at multitasking. The phone handles any task with ease and performs well in gaming. The 120Hz refresh rate enhances the display, making it buttery smooth. After extended gaming sessions, it doesn't heat up excessively. However, the phone has a 4000mAh battery, which is quite small compared to other budget and mid-range smartphones. Despite this, the battery life is good, lasting almost 24 hours with light usage. The phone supports 25W charging, which is relatively low, and unfortunately, it doesn't include a charger in the box. Regarding the camera, the phone boasts a 50MP primary camera, a 10MP telephoto camera, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera on the rear. The primary and telephoto cameras perform well, but the ultra-wide camera still lacks autofocus. Low-light photography is decent but can sometimes be grainy. On the front, there's a 12MP selfie camera that works effectively. Overall, the Samsung Galaxy S24 is a compact phone with strong performance, impressive cameras, and good battery life.

Should you buy the Samsung Galaxy A36 in 2025? Samsung has given it a fresh design, finally setting it apart from the flagship S series. Some may call it a downgrade, but honestly, it was time for the A-series to have its own identity. The camera module is oddly charming, and the sleeker form factor is a welcome upgrade. For daily use, it's smooth, reliable, and fuss-free. But if gaming is your priority, the Realme GT 6 or OnePlus 12R would be better picks. The cameras deliver sharp shots in most conditions, though image processing can be hit or miss. Overall, it's a solid choice for those who want longevity, a clean software experience, and a slim design - if only Samsung had been a bit more generous with the pricing.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 is a solid phone, but it's not a revolution. It's an evolution, and a rather conservative one at that. If you loved the S23 and S24, you'll probably like this one too. The display along with the tiny form factor and the classy build can score high points amongst all personalities. One UI is brilliant, better than any other Android flagship, and to an extent even stock Android. Moreover, you get seven years of promised upgrades. So, yes, the cutie-patootie does deliver, but the Galaxy S24 is much better value for money with a recent price drop. It has Galaxy AI features too, and is essentially the same phone in terms of camera and battery performance.

Apple unveiled the iPhone 16 globally this month, and the colour choices are nothing short of stunning. The design also stands out from the usual iPhones we've seen over the past year or two, with a look reminiscent of the iPhone X launched five years ago. This time, Apple has added more rounded edges, making it noticeably more comfortable in hand compared to earlier models. On the performance side, both the Pro and standard variants now share similar chipsets, incorporating AI features that enhance productivity. Additionally, a new capture button simplifies the camera experience, making zooming in and out much easier. The cameras themselves have received upgrades, ensuring they outperform those of their predecessors. If you're seeking a flagship device with a stylish design, top-tier build quality, and refined software, the iPhone 16 is the perfect choice.

The Pixel 9a comes in 3,000 cheaper than the Pixel 8a, but the savings bring a mix of upgrades and trade-offs. You get a faster Tensor G4 chip, though the phone still heats up during extended camera use. The main camera now has fewer megapixels, but better aperture helps capture bright, detailed shots - even foggy ones. Battery life is solid, lasting a full day with ease. The display gets slightly bigger, but thick bezels remain. On the plus side, the panel quality and stereo speakers are great for media. The real win here is the software - clean, smooth, and packed with helpful AI tools found on pricier Pixel models. If you value a polished everyday experience over raw power, the Pixel 9a fits the bill. Otherwise, consider the OnePlus 13R, Xiaomi 14 CIVI, or Realme GT 6 for more performance.

The Galaxy A26 5G is great for first-time users like teens or elders, offering a vibrant display, smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and a clean, easy-to-use UI. It handles everyday tasks well but slows with heavier use. The mono speaker and low-light camera performance are underwhelming, and battery life is average. For better all-rounders, the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion offers a cleaner UI, while the Nothing Phone (3a) delivers more speed - but Samsung wins on longevity and updates.

Sure, the iPhone 15 may seem like it costs a pretty penny, but it brings a lot of important Apple tech such as USB Type-C, 48MP camera, Dynamic Island and the A16 Bionic chip. Despite the lack of a telephoto camera on the iPhone 15, its computational photography prowess helps it be one of the best camera phones for the price point. At 20W, the charging speeds are still archaic, but its battery life is surprisingly good for a phone its size. The integration of iOS 16 ensures a smooth and secure user experience. The Dynamic Island is a useful addition compared to the plain old notch on the display. However, the absence of a high-refresh-rate display might be a drawback for users accustomed to smoother animations. The iPhone 15's price may be justified for Apple enthusiasts seeking to upgrade from older phones.

The Galaxy F55 sports a stylish design thanks to the vegan leather back, making it stand out in this price segment. It also comes with an IP67 rating to ensure better durability and make it water-resistant. The slim profile also means this is easy to hold with one hand. The phone also sports an excellent SAMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, making it ideal for content consumption. It also works well in bright sunlight. But the audio quality does leave one wanting, especially when watching TV shows. The battery life and performance are also adequate for most users. However, the phone is not ideal for heavy-duty gaming and struggles with titles like Call of Duty: Mobile. While the rear camera delivers good results and the portraits are nice, the selfie camera needs some fixing regarding processing speeds. Samsung has also promised four years of Android updates, which is good.

With its vibrant display and 90Hz refresh rate, the Galaxy A16 offers a smooth experience for everyday tasks. However, it heats up during extended gaming sessions, and its camera is just average, especially for selfies. If you're after solid performance and battery life, it's a good choice. But for a more well-rounded experience in the under-Rs 20,000 range, consider options like the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite or iQOO Z9s.

The Galaxy S23 is a high-spirited phone, with powerful innards, no heating issues (so far) and decent cameras. Just picking it up can sometimes cheer you. We are just hoping the battery life improves with the Adaptive battery tech running in the background and that in the next iteration, the entire Galaxy S line-up gets new lenses or anti-glare coating.

The iPhone 16 Pro introduces only a few subtle changes compared to the iPhone 15 Pro. While the design remains largely the same, the iPhone 16 Pro does include a new capture button for quick access to the camera app and additional features. When it comes to performance, this device is a powerhouse. With iOS 18, users can enjoy advanced features such as audio transcriptions, an improved voicemail system, and voice memos, among others. The 128GB variant of the Samsung Galaxy F22 gets 6GB RAM and that's the only difference you get with the phone which gives improved performance. The device sports a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with support for 90Hz refresh rate. It's powered by Helio G80 chipset. The quad cameras at the back are decent and with a 6,000mAh battery you get support for more than a day. However, the bulky design, HD+ screen resolution and 15W fast charging does not match with other devices in this price range.

Keeping aside the fancy camera jargon, there's very little the S23 Ultra does to go wild. Instead, it plays safe and to its strengths, with a reliable processor, a fantastic camera system and one of the best battery backups of a flagship smartphone. Yes, it could've done with faster charging and Wi-Fi 7, but this is what peak Android looks like in 2023.

The Lava Agni 3 showcases a sleek design with a cover display and an Action Key for enhanced usability, supported by reliable battery life. Performance-wise, it handles daily tasks with ease, though it stumbles under heavy use. My main concern is the camera quality, which remains average despite a variety of modes offered. The primary display works well, but the secondary cover display struggles with widget integration. It's functional but not the best. In the sub-Rs 25,000 range, the Agni 3 stands out but has room for improvement. A software update could resolve many issues. Priced at Rs 20,999 (without the charger), it's a solid buy. However, if you're seeking excellent camera performance, consider the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion and the Nothing Phone (2a) instead.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE offers impressive specifications such as an AMOLED 120Hz display, a triple-camera setup, and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The primary 50MP sensor on the device captures excellent images. Also, the Exynos 2200 equipped with the device offers good performance. However, the phone has a slow charging speed and it doesn't come with a charger. Overall, the S23 FE is a good option if you are looking for a clean software experience, good cameras, and great performance.

The Pixel 9 Pro is compact, cute, and features impressive cameras - especially the 5x optical zoom and selfie cam. It handles daily tasks effortlessly, with battery life lasting well into the next day. The clean software and game-changing AI features, like Pixel Screenshots and automatic photo edits, are highlights. While its performance lags behind the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and others, it outshines the pricier Pixel 9 Pro XL. It can heat up during gaming or camera use, but cools down fast. Overall, it's a reliable, user-friendly device with long software support - though you'll pay a premium for it.

The Samsung Galaxy F15 packs a hefty battery, a decent chipset, and a vibrant Super AMOLED display. Its design closely mirrors that of the premium Galaxy phones, though the inclusion of a 6000mAh battery makes it noticeably chunky. The 6.5-inch FHD+ display offers a 90Hz refresh rate, staying bright even under sunlight. As for the cameras, it has a 50MP main shooter, a 5MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a 2MP macro shooter at the rear. It has a 13MP camera at the front for selfies. For its price, the phone captures adequately satisfying pictures. Powering the Galaxy F15 5G is the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset, which suits everyday users well. It handles tasks such as texting, social media browsing, and light gaming with 5G connectivity capably. Samsung pledges four years of Android updates and five years of security patches for the Galaxy F15. It runs on OneUI 6 based on Android 14, but misses out on a bunch of features such as Always On Display and screen recording. While the overall user experience is fine, watch out for a bunch of pre-installed apps.

The Pixel 7a is the most practical Pixel to date, offering the best combination of specifications, experience and cameras. But, it's still a bit underpowered compared to the competition and it charges extremely slowly.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is its first in the S series to support stylus. It packs the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset with 12GB RAM for optimum performance. The cameras deliver quality, and Android 12 out of the box is much needed. The battery life can suffer from a powerful display, the storage is not expandable, no headphone on the device, and the 45W fast charging not what you expect from a flagship phone. Quality device that cannot justify its price tag.
