Dell has launched the new Dell 14S laptop in India, targeting students and young professionals looking for a lightweight everyday laptop with long battery life and a personalised design.
Dell 14S Features and Specifications
The Dell 14S features a three-piece aluminium chassis measuring 13.5mm in thickness and weighing approximately 1.15kg. It also comes with a backlit, spill-resistant keyboard, making it suitable for everyday use across classrooms, offices, and remote work setups. The Dell 14S is powered by Intel Core 5 and Core 7 Series 3 processors with an integrated NPU offering up to 17 TOPS of AI performance. It supports up to 16GB of LPDDR5x memory and up to 1TB of PCIe NVMe SSD storage.
One of its key highlights is its claimed battery life of up to 21 hours of Netflix streaming on a single charge. Dell attributes this to its 750ED PNCM high-energy-density battery, which is designed to run cooler under load and retain capacity over time. The laptop offers two 14-inch display options with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Buyers can choose between a 2.8K panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 450 nits of brightness, or a 2K panel with a 60Hz refresh rate and 300 nits of brightness. Both variants support vibrant colour reproduction, while Dolby Atmos adds an immersive audio experience.
For video calls, the Dell 14S features a 1080p FHD camera, far-field dual-array microphones, and two 2W stereo speakers. Connectivity options include up to Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports with DisplayPort and Power Delivery, an HDMI port, and a universal audio jack. The laptop also supports Windows Hello for secure sign-in and Microsoft Pluton technology for additional security. It is ENERGY STAR 9.0 rated and EPEAT Silver registered with Climate+.
Dell 14S Price in India and Availability
The Dell 14S starts at Rs 79,990, inclusive of taxes. It is available in four colour options: Linen, Dusty Rose, Washed Denim, and Velvet Green.
The laptop is available for purchase through Dellstore.com in all four colours. The Linen variant is also available through Dell Exclusive Stores, large-format retail outlets, and e-commerce platforms. The remaining colour options are expected to reach retail and e-commerce channels by the end of November.
As part of the introductory offers, buyers can avail of zero-down-payment and zero-interest financing schemes through major banks and NBFCs. Dell is also offering instant credit card discounts of up to Rs 10,000 and one-year Accidental Damage Protection for Rs 499. The Dell 14S focuses on portability, battery life, and personalisation rather than positioning itself as a performance-heavy laptop. Its lightweight aluminium design, 120Hz display option, and claimed 21-hour battery life make it an interesting option for students and young professionals. Starting at Rs 79,990, its value will depend on the final configuration, particularly the processor, display, and memory options buyers choose.
