LG Channels Expands Bollywood Lineup in India, Now Offers Over 170 Free Channels

LG Electronics India has expanded the Bollywood content offering on LG Channels, its free, ad-supported streaming service for LG Smart TVs. Alongside its Hindi movie lineup, the platform now offers more than 170 channels in India across movies, entertainment, music, news, lifestyle, kids' programming, sports highlights, devotional and regional content.

Movie and music content from NH Studioz, Eros Universe and PEN Music's ALL TIME MOVIES forms part of the expanded offering. For LG Smart TV owners, the service adds viewing options without a separate content subscription, although programming is supported by advertisements and requires an internet connection.

More Bollywood Movies and Regional Programming

Bollywood is a key focus of LG's latest content push, with partnerships bringing additional Indian movie and music programming to the platform. NH Studioz is making its curated portfolio of movie and music FAST channels available through LG Channels, while Eros Universe adds another Indian entertainment option. PEN Music's ALL TIME MOVIES also joins the offering, targeting viewers looking for Hindi films on connected TVs.

Beyond Bollywood, LG Channels carries programming in Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu and other regional languages. Its broader catalogue covers both entertainment and everyday viewing categories such as news, devotional content and children's programming. LG says it will continue expanding its content partnerships, with local programming forming an important part of its plans for India.

Brian Jung, Director, Media Entertainment Solution, LG Electronics India, said the expansion reflects Indian audiences' interest in Bollywood and the company's efforts to make that content more accessible on connected TVs. Content partners also pointed to the opportunity to reach more television viewers, with Eros Innovation highlighting ad-supported streaming as an additional route for content distribution and monetisation.

What LG's Free Streaming Service Offers Viewers

LG Channels operates on the FAST, or Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV, model. Viewers can watch its channels without paying a subscription fee, with advertising supporting the service. Its channel-based format gives users an alternative to picking individual titles from an on-demand catalogue, particularly when they want to browse movies, music or news.

For households already using an LG Smart TV, the expanded catalogue adds more content to explore before paying for another streaming subscription. The appeal will depend on the films and programmes available, however, as a larger channel count alone does not establish how much of the catalogue will suit an individual household.

LG has confirmed that its Indian lineup now exceeds 170 channels, but the announcement does not specify how many Bollywood channels have been added in this expansion. It also does not list individual movie titles, programming schedules or model-specific compatibility details.
