Motorola is bringing its latest flagship smartphone, the Motorola Signature 27, to India this month. The company has listed the smartphone on its official India website, confirming several key specifications ahead of its local launch. The flagship will feature a 6.8-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, a 7,000mAh battery and a 200MP periscope camera.
Motorola Signature 27 Specifications And Features
The Motorola Signature 27 features a 6.8-inch 1.5K Extreme AMOLED display with up to 12,000 nits of peak brightness. The panel is protected by Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3, while the phone gets an aluminium frame with a ceramic and glass construction. The flagship measures 7.99mm in thickness and weighs 227 grams. It also carries an IP69 rating, offering protection against dust and water.
Motorola is offering the Signature 27 in Coal Smoke and Capulet Olive colour options for the Indian market.
At the heart of the Signature 27 is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset. Motorola has paired the processor with its ArcticMesh cooling system for thermal management.
The phone will be available with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The India website currently lists 12GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB configurations. The smartphone will ship with Android 17 and receive seven years of OS updates, which puts Motorola's latest flagship among the company's longest-supported smartphones.
Battery life is another major focus of the Signature 27. Motorola has equipped the phone with a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, considerably larger than what is typically found in flagship smartphones. The battery supports 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, giving users both high-speed wired charging and a faster wireless charging option.
The Motorola Signature 27 gets a triple-camera setup on the rear. It includes a 50MP Sony LYTIA L910 primary sensor with LOFIC technology and 3.5-degree OIS, alongside a 50MP ultrawide camera. The third camera is a 200MP 3.5x periscope lens capable of up to 100x Super Zoom. Motorola has also added a dedicated EVS Action Sensor designed to help capture fast-moving subjects.
For selfies and video calls, the phone features a 50MP front camera. The main rear camera can record video at up to 8K resolution at 30fps.
One of the more unusual additions to the Signature 27 is support for Motorola's Moto Pen Ultra. The accessory is listed at Rs 6,999 in India, giving users a stylus-based input option with the flagship smartphone. The phone also features Bang & Olufsen stereo speakers, Dolby Vision support, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor and a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 8, Bluetooth 7 and NFC, adding to the phone's flagship specification sheet.
Motorola Signature 27 India Price and Availability
Motorola has not yet revealed the official India price of the Signature 27. Globally, the smartphone starts at $1,599, which is roughly Rs 1.5 lakh before taxes and other local pricing considerations.
For India, the Signature 27 could potentially be positioned in the Rs 1.3 lakh to Rs 1.5 lakh range, although the final pricing will only be confirmed at launch.
The smartphone is expected to launch in India later this month, with Motorola already confirming its arrival on the India website. The Signature 27 looks like Motorola's most ambitious flagship yet, especially with a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, 200MP periscope camera, 2K-class display brightness and seven years of software support all packed into one device. The Moto Pen Ultra support also gives it a slightly different identity in the premium segment. The biggest question now is pricing, because at around Rs 1.3 lakh or higher, Motorola will be stepping directly into a very competitive flagship market.
