Design and Specification
The Nokia N8 is the most popular camera phone in the Nokia line up of phones. It has a bar form factor and has dimensions of 113.5 x 59.1 x 12.9 mm. The N8 sports a 3.5 inches AMOLED Capacitive Touchscreen and weighs 135 grams. The N8 is powered by a 680 MHz ARM 11 and 256 MB of RAM and runs on Nokia's Symbian Belle OS.
Camera and Multimedia
The Nokia N8 has a great 12 Megapixel camera unit on it which is capable of shooting photos up to 4000x3000 pixels. Powered by Carl Zeiss optics, the camera also supports features like Autofocus, Geo tagging and face detection. The camera can also shoot video, at 720p HD resolution at 30 frames per second. There is also a secondary front facing camera, of VGA resolution. The Nokia N8 supports WMA, MP3, WAV and eAAC+ audio formats and DivX, H.264, H.263, XviD, MP4 and WMV video formats.
Connectivity and Features
The Nokia N8 has quad band support on 2G and 3G and supports maximum speeds of 10.2 Mbps on HSDPA and 2.0Mbps on HSUPA. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi b/g/n and micro USB 2.0 support. The N8 also has HDMI Out via a Mini HDMI port, USB on the Go support and comes with a FM Radio and FM Transmitter. Quick office document viewer and Adobe Reader are preinstalled.
Battery and Memory
The Nokia N8 has a non-removable Li-Ion battery of 1200mAh and is capable of 390 hours of standby and 12 hours of talk time when connected to a 2G network. The N8 has 16GB of internal memory and has a micro SD expansion slot which supports up to 32GB.
