The India launch timeline of the smartphones was revealed by a tipster hinting that the Neo 9 Pro smartphone will debut with a different chipset in India. iQOO has been teasing the specifications of the upcoming device through various teasers on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo. The latest teaser shared by the brand confirms the battery capacity of the device.
iQOO confirms that the upcoming smartphones will be backed by a 5160mAh battery. The brand claims that the forthcoming Neo 9 series smartphones have the highest battery capacity in the history of Neo series smartphones. The Chinese OEM will equip the devices with dual-cell batteries to achieve low charging time.
The teaser also confirms that the devices will support 120W wired proprietary fast charging tech. iQOO will also equip the smartphone with support for 100W PD charging. The teaser claims that the upcoming Neo 9 series smartphones have become thinner and lighter despite sporting a large battery.
iQOO claims that the Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro smartphones have a thickness of 7.9mm. The upcoming smartphones will also sport a 6K Sky Curtain VC liquid cooling system with the highest VC coverage in the industry. iQOO has used 3D stainless steel which increases the circulation by 17.6% and reduces weight by 30%.
iQOO previously confirmed that the Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro smartphones will equip Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipsets. The vanilla and Pro smartphones will be launched with up to 16GB and 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM in China.
iQOO also divulges that both smartphones will be equipped with Q1 Supercomputing chipset. The devices are tipped to equip a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz and 144Hz refresh rates. Vivo will also equip the smartphones with a 50MP Sony IMX 920 sensor.
