- Apple is set to schedule its upcoming iPhone launch in the third week of September.
- Mobile carrier employees have been asked to refrain from taking leaves for the launch event.
- The Pro models of the iPhone 15 Series may get slightly delayed because of display issues.
Apple is known to schedule its iPhone launch event around September each year. We have had multiple leaks and speculations on the upcoming iPhone 15 Series, where we might see a USB-C, thinner bezels, and much more. Per a tip received by 9to5Mac, Apple is preparing for its Fall Event in the third week of September.
Apple Set to Launch iPhone 15 Series on September 13
Per the report, employees of mobile carriers have been instructed to not take leave on 13 September. Employees have reported that the reason behind this notice is because of a major phone launch scheduled on that day.
The sources did not confirm that the said notice was in reference to the upcoming iPhone 15 launch. However, there are high chances of this being the official date for the Apple Event, as Apple always keeps its iPhone Launch Event in the first two weeks of September.
If we consider September 13 as the launch date, then we can expect iPhone 15 pre-booking to start around 15 September, and shipments starting from the next following week.
According to previous reports, some models of the iPhone 15 Series, especially the iPhone 15 Pro might get delayed because of production issues with the display. LG had reportedly failed the quality testing of the OLED panels, and hence it will not supply displays for the upcoming iPhone.

A few days back, a Korea-based publication reported that Samsung has started mass-producing OLED panels for the iPhone 15 Series. It appears that only Samsung was able to manage thinner bezels and dynamic island cutouts for the OLED panel. The other two major players, LG and BOE, failed to meet the quality standards of Apple.
Apple iPhone 15 Series: Leaked Specifications So Far
The upcoming iPhone 15 Series will feature the new A17 Bionic chip from Apple. We may also see a higher RAM variant this time. However, these upgrades may be limited to the Pro models only.
From leaked renders so far, all four models of the iPhone are likely to get a hole-punch cutout and the dynamic island. But Apple might still keep the 120Hz ProMotion display exclusive to the Pro models.
Cameras on the iPhone 15 Series are set to get an upgrade with a new Sony IMX9-based 48MP sensor. The ultra-wide camera might not change this time, as we already saw an upgrade last year. The iPhone 15 Pro Max will reportedly have a 12MP periscope lens with 6X optical zoom, along with a LiDAR sensor.
