iQOO Neo 9 Pro: Launch Timeline, Price Range
The Vivo-owned brand revealed that the upcoming Neo smartphones will debut in India in February. The upcoming Neo 9 smartphone is expected to go on sale through Amazon and the iQOO India website. iQOO has indicated that it will debut the smartphone in the Nautical Blue colour variant in India. Earlier, the brand confirmed the launch of the dual-tone variant with leatherette material.
Meanwhile, Yogesh Brar has claimed that the launch will take place early February in India. He added that iQOO will debut the smartphone in the sub-Rs 40,000 segment. If true, the upcoming iQOO smartphone will likely compete against the forthcoming OnePlus 12R 5G smartphone.
Brar has also revealed that iQOO will equip the smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC in India. This will be a change from the China unit which launched with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC. iQOO has switched to a Qualcomm chipset owing to the preference for Qualcomm chipsets in India. A recent study by Counterpoint Research revealed that over 77% of Indian smartphone buyers are conscious about the chipset of a smartphone.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is fabricated on TSMC’s 4nm process and features one Cortex X3 at 3.2GHz, two Cortex A715 cores at 2.8GHz, three Cortex A510 cores at 2.0GHz and an Adreno 740 GPU. iQOO will also equip the smartphone with a 50MP Sony IMX 920 primary sensor.
The sensor will be paired with a 50MP ultrawide sensor. The Sony IMX 920 sensor was first introduced with the Vivo X100 series smartphones. Vivo has launched the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro smartphones in India earlier today. A 5160mAh battery supporting 120W fast charging will back the upcoming Neo 9 Pro.
