Samsung Galaxy S24 Spotted on Singapore’s IMDA Certification Ahead of Launch

The South Korean smartphone giant, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S24 series next month. While the company has not officially announced the launch date of the lineup, several rumours claim that the brand might introduce the S24 series on January 17. We have been learning new details about the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra courtesy of several leaks and certification listings from the past couple of months. Recently, we even saw the renders of the Galaxy S24 and the S24 Ultra courtesy of the folks at Android Headlines. Now, in a recent development, the Galaxy S24 has received the IMDA certification.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Receives IMDA Certification

The IMDA certification listing discloses the model number of the Galaxy S24 as SM-S921/DS. Furthermore, the listing also confirms that the device will have a 5G and NFC support. Besides, the model number and connectivity details, no other specifications of the device is revealed by the IMDA certification listing.

The past leak indicates that the Galaxy S24 will feature a 6.2-inch AMOLED display which could have a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the device under the hood there could be either Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or the Exynos 2400 chipset depending on the market it launches. Furthermore, the smartphone is expected to pack up to 8GB of RAM. The device might launch in 256GB and 512GB storage configurations.

On the software front, the S24 series no doubt will be running Android 14 out of the box with the company’s One UI 6.0 skin on top. As far as the rest of the key features of the S24 go, the device might sport a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, a 10MP telephoto camera, a 12MP selfie camera, a 4,000mAh battery, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The device will be offering up to 25W fast charging support as revealed by the 3C certification earlier.

As mentioned above, the company is yet to officially confirm the launch date of the S24 series. Since the lineup is expected to go official next month, we can expect Samsung to soon announce the launch date of the S24 series.
