Samsung recently announced that it would conduct the upcoming Unpacked event in Seoul, South Korea. The South Korean company is hosting the unpacked event for the first time in its home country. Later, a report revealed that the unpacked event is set for July 26. We had exclusively revealed that Samsung will conduct another Unpacked event separately for US and Canada on August 11. Samsung officially revealed that the Seoul Unpacked event will be conducted on July 26. The company also revealed in the teaser image that it would launch Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 smartphones. Samsung has started the pre-reserve for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy products in India.
Samsung Unpacked Event: Pre-Reserve Benefits of Upcoming Galaxy Products
Samsung’s pre-reserve page for the upcoming Galaxy products reveals that the India launch of these devices will be on the same date. The event will be live from 4:30 PM and can be streamed through Samsung’s official YouTube channel. Apart from the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5, Samsung will also launch Galaxy Tab 9 series, Galaxy Buds 3, Galaxy Watch 6 series and Galaxy SmartTag 2. The pre-reserve has been started for foldable tablets and watches.
Samsung has revealed the outline of the above-said products on the pre-reserve page. The website reveals that interested users can pre-reserve any of the products for Rs 1,999. Pre-reserve benefits include vouchers up to Rs 5000, and one can grab the products with special exchange discounts. The upcoming Samsung foldable is expected to come with many significant upgrades over the existing smartphones.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to feature a 7.6-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. Samsung will also equip the display with an external 6.2-inch AMOLED display with a similar resolution. Both displays will be equipped with a 120Hz refresh rate. In contrast, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 will have a 6.7-inch display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.
Samsung will also equip the Galaxy Z Flip 5 with a smaller 3.2-inch cover display. Underneath, both devices will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The chipset is expected to pair with up to 12GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The storage of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 might be limited to 256GB. The smartphone will run on OneUI 5.1 based on Android 13 out of the box. Regarding optics, the Z Fold 5 is expected to have a triple rear camera setup.
The setup would comprise a 50MP primary camera, 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10MP telephoto camera. Samsung will also equip the foldable smartphone with IPX8 water and dust resistance. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 will feature a dual rear camera setup with two 12MP sensors. The Flip 5 will also feature a 10MP selfie camera inside the punch-hole. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be backed by a 3700 mAh battery. The 3C listing revealed that both smartphones will support 25W fast charging.
