Xiaomi has launched the Mi Band 7 and Mi Band 7 NFC fitness trackers in China today. The company’s popular fitness tracker now comes with an improved design, a bigger display, and a few additional features.

Apart from the including of NFC, which comes in handy for payments and tickets, the rest of the specifications are the same between the Band 7 and Band 7 NFC. The newly launched Mi Band 7 comes with a 1.62-inch AMOLED display, multiple fitness and sports mode, longer battery life, and support for multiple band faces. While the built-in GPS was rumoured previously, the Mi Band 7 does not feature it.

Xiaomi Mi Band 7: Price

The Xiaomi Mi Band 7 is priced at CNY 239 (~Rs 2,800) and the Mi Band 7 NFC version costs CNY 279 (~Rs 3,200). The fitness tracker will go on sale from May 31 in China.

Xiaomi Mi Band 7 Specifications and Features

The first major addition comes in the form of display. The Mi Band 7 offers a large 1.62-inch AMOLED display, which is an upgrade from the 1.56-inch on the Band 6. The 25% increase in the screen size will make it easier for users to get more data out of the screen. The band also comes with support for the Always-on-Display feature, which has been one of the most requested features. The Mi Band 7 also comes with a redesigned UI with new icons, animations, and visuals.

The Mi Band 7 comes with a 24/7 heart rate monitor as well as a SpO2 monitor to take care of blood-oxygen levels. Apart from that, there is sleep tracking as well with a detailed breakdown of deep and light sleep. The band offers support for 120 sports modes, which included walking, running, cycling and more. In terms of battery life, the Band 7 comes with a 180mAh battery unit, which is rated to last up to 15 days. Other features include a 5ATM water resistance rating, smart notification, and multiple colour options.

The band is currently available in China only and going by the previous track record, the Band 7 will be available in some global markets in the next couple of months in India, we can expect the Mi Band 7 to launch in September, which is when Xiaomi hosts the Mi Smarter Living event every year.
