Motorola is bringing its product with the promise of giving you an ad-free experience, something that very few in this segment can offer. So, in order to see where the Moto G82 5G stands in comparison to the others, we decided to pit it against the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G and the Realme 9 Pro Plus.

Moto G82 vs OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G vs Realme 9 Pro Plus: Price in India

The Moto G82 5G comes with a price tag of Rs 21,499 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage option. The 8GB RAM + 128GB of storage variant is priced at Rs 22,999.

The Nord CE 2 Lite 5G price in India starts at Rs 19,999 that comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The handset also comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option that is priced at Rs 21,999 respectively.

The Realme 9 Pro Plus India price is Rs 24,999 for the base variant with 6GB RAM, whereas the 8GB + 128GB option is priced at Rs 26,999. It also comes in an 8GB + 256GB option, which is priced at Rs 28,999.

Moto G82 vs OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G vs Realme 9 Pro Plus: Design

The Moto G82 doesn’t offer much with its design. It has a plastic back panel along with the side frame, and a vertical camera setup at the back. The Moto logo and the Motorola branding round up the design elements. The chin size of the bezels on Moto G82 is definitely smaller than what you get on the Nord CE 2 Lite 5G and the Realme 9 Pro Plus.

The Nord phone also carries a plastic body and a different camera placement at the back. Realme 9 Pro Plus manages to get a glass body which gives it the premium touch, but at a definite cost of solidity. Moto G82 5G is also the lightest of the three, weighing 176 grams, while the Nord CE 2 Lite 5G and the Realme 9 Pro Plus weigh 195 grams and 182 grams respectively. A lighter phone makes the Moto G82 easier to use with one hand.

If you prefer something simple, the Moto G82 5G or the Nord CE 2 Lite 5G are worth getting. For those who prefer a bit of shine, Realme 9 Pro Plus is there for the taking.

Moto G82 vs OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G vs Realme 9 Pro Plus: Display

Moto G82 features a 6.6-inch 10-bit OLED 120Hz display with a punch-hole layout at the top. The screen offers Full HD+ resolution at a pixel density of 402 PPI. Nord CE 2 Lite uses a 6.59-inch LCD 120Hz display, also giving you Full HD+ resolution.

While Realme 9 Pro Plus comes with a Super AMOLED display but with a 90Hz refresh rate. Realme also manages to offer Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection for the screen.

Both the Nord and Realme phones have the punch-hole cutout at the top-left. With the bigger display on board, Moto G82 gives you a better screen-to-body ratio of 86.4 per cent, while the other two in question offer 84.1 per cent and 84.2 per cent respectively. Again, we would say, Moto G82 5G with its 120Hz OLED display gives you the ideal balance and quality for the price, while the other two either miss out on the AMOLED panel or higher refresh rate.

Moto G82 vs OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G vs Realme 9 Pro Plus: Performance

Moto G82 and the Nord CE 2 Lite 5G come powered by the Snapdragon 695 chipset, which you get with 6GB and 8GB RAM options. Realme 9 Pro Plus uses the MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset because of its higher price tag. In general, the Snapdragon SoC has been found to offer basic hardware performance that gets your daily tasks done, but with gaming, it struggles to cross the line. Having said that, the power management is quite decent, which results in longer battery life.

Realme opting for this MediaTek chipset gives it a definite advantage over the Moto G82 and the Nord CE 2 Lite 5G. In terms of storage, except for the Realme 9 Pro Plus, both the other phones give you an expandable card slot, albeit one has a dedicated slot, the other with a shared SIM slot.

Moto G82 vs OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G vs Realme 9 Pro Plus: Cameras

Moto G82 includes a 50MP triple rear camera setup that includes an 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G has a 64MP main rear camera, paired with a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor. Realme 9 Pro Plus features a 50MP main camera at the back, also clubbed with an 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP macro sensor like the Moto G82. But at the front, all three phones carry a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls.

Moto G82 vs OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G vs Realme 9 Pro Plus: Battery

Moto G82 and the Nord CE 2 Lite 5G come loaded with a 5000mAh battery. Motorola is providing 30W fast charging support for its device, while OnePlus offers 33W fast charging through the bundled charger. Realme 9 Pro Plus has a smaller 4500mAh battery but it supports 60W fast charging.

Now, when you compare the battery sizes, it is possible that the Moto and Nord phones outlast the Realme 9 Pro Plus, but this device will charge faster than the other two.

Moto G82 vs OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G vs Realme 9 Pro Plus: Verdict

Moto G82 comes across as a solid mid-range option for buyers. It has an AMOLED 120Hz display, a reliable 5G chipset, expandable storage and even the cameras should suffice for most users. The battery also looks adequate. Compared to this, you have the Nord CE 2 Lite 5G which is cheaper than both these phones but has a few drawbacks like an LCD display, and lack of an ultrawide camera.

Realme 9 Pro Plus is the best out of the three, with a powerful chip on board, 60W fast-charging battery and a better main camera. However, you have to shell out an extra Rs 2,000 to get it in the market.
