From single screens to multiplexes, to camera angles to VFX, Yash Raj Films have seen it all and triumphed it all. Now, the streaming giant Netflix has informed through a tweet that it has decided to celebrate the cultural legacy of this iconic Indian filmmaker Yash Chopra and his studio YRF with the documentary series “The Romantics.”

It will include 35 of the biggest names in the Hindi film industry, including the megastars who have closely collaborated with YRF throughout its existence. In remembrance of the late Chopra, who is recognised as the father of romance in Indian cinema due to his love flicks, including “Silsila,” “Lamhe,” “Kabhi Kabhie,” “Veer-Zaara,” “Dil To Pagal Hai,” “Chandni” and “Jab Tak Hai Jaan.” the streaming platform will make the series available worldwide on February 14 (Valentine’s Day).

Smriti Mundhra, who previously helmed Indian Matchmaking and the Never Have I Ever series for Netflix, is the director of The Romantics.
