Nubia recently launched the RedMagic 8S Pro series in China. The company launched its first gaming smartphone series with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 SoC under the hood. It is also the world’s first smartphone with 24GB of RAM under the hood. Following the launch, it looks like the company is now gearing up for the launch of another premium phone. Nubia might soon lance a new Z-series phone in the form of the Z50S Pro.
The company has teased the launch of its new flagship phone series without revealing the name. Based on the latest update, it looks like the device could be the Z50S Pro. The device has been spotted on the Geekbench and 3C certification websites ahead of its launch. Both listings confirm some key details about the upcoming Nubia smartphone ahead of its launch. Let’s take a look at the Nubia Z50S Pro specifications, features and other details known so far.
Nubia Z50S Pro: Specifications and Features Revealed Via Geekbench
The Nubia Z50S Pro will be one of the upcoming flagship Android smartphones launching in select markets. It has been spotted on the 3C certification website. According to the listing on 3C, the upcoming Nubia smartphone has the model number NX713J. The listing on 3C also reveals that the Z50S Pro offers support for 80W fast charging.
In addition to the 3C listing, the phone was also spotted on the Geekbench website. As per the listing on the benchmark website, the Z50S Pro draws power from a Qualcomm SoC codenamed Kalama. The SoC has a peak clock speed of 3.36GHz and has four performance cores clocked at 2.8GHz. There are also three efficiency cores clocked at 2.02GHz. These numbers and the cluster setup combined suggest that the Z50S Pro will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 SoC, which was first launched as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC for Galaxy. The SoC has an Adreno 740 GPU under the hood.
The overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC scored 1564 and 5115 points in Geekbench 5’s single-core and multi-core tests. It is also listed on Geekbench with 12GB of RAM. It would not be a surprise if Nubia launches the phone with up to 16GB or more RAM. The phone is likely to offer up to 512GB of storage.
The Z50S Pro was seen running Android 13. It will likely have a layer of Nubia’s custom skin on top of Android. The company has already teased the launch of its next flagship phone with improved cameras. It looks like the upcoming Nubia flagship phone, which could well be the Z50S Pro, has a massive camera module on the back with one of the lenses shooting at 35mm. There will also likely be a bigger sensor compared to older Nubia phones.
Nubia, while teasing the sensor size differences between the upcoming flagship and the older one, did not specifically share details about its type. However, we would not be surprised if the company jumps onto the 1-inch type sensor bandwagon and launches the upcoming flagship with a Sony IMX989 sensor. More details about the same should be available soon.
