OnePlus is gearing up to launch two new Nord series smartphones in India. The company has confirmed that it will launch the Nord 3 and the Nord CE 3 5G on July 5 in the country. The OnePlus Nord CE 3 5G will be the more affordable smartphone of the two launching next week in India. The company has started to drop teasers of the mid-range smartphone ahead of the launch. OnePlus has already revealed the rear panel design of the phone. Now, the latest teaser confirms the performance unit details of the Nord CE 3 5G.
OnePlus will most likely launch the first smartphone in India with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G SoC. Let’s take a look at the leaked specifications and features of the OnePlus Nord CE 3 5G revealed so far.
OnePlus Nord CE 3 5G: Specifications and Features Known So Far
The OnePlus Nord CE 3 5G will be one of the upcoming mid-range smartphones priced at around Rs. 25,000 in India. It will debut on July 5. Ahead of the official launch, the company has confirmed that the Nord CE 3 will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G SoC under the hood. The SoC is based on a 6nm fabrication process and claims to offer up to 5 per cent improved CPU performance over Snapdragon 778G+ SoC. It has a peak clock speed of 2.7GHz. The SoC also features an Adreno 642L GPU.
OnePlus has also confirmed that the phone will launch in an Aqua Surge colour option. The phone features a flat frame design with a slightly curved rear panel. It has two cutouts on the back for the triple-camera setup. The top cutout has a single sensor, whereas the second cutout has the other two sensors. The LED flash module is placed next to the camera sensors.
More details about the Nord CE 3 5G might be unveiled ahead of the event on July 5. Meanwhile, a recent leak revealed that the device will sport a tall 6.7-inch Fluid AMOLED display. It will offer a flat display, which will offer support for a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 950 nits of brightness.
There will be a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera with support for optical image stabilisation (OIS), which is also found in the flagship OnePlus 11 5G. It is also tipped to feature an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 112-degree field of view and a 2MP macro sensor. The rear camera is tipped to support 4K 30fps video recording.
Additionally, there will be up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and features like RAM-vita, HyperTouch and HyperBoost. OnePlus is said to pack a 5000mAh battery in the Nord CE 3. It is likely to offer 80W fast charging support out of the box.
The phone will also likely feature an IR blaster, X-axis linear motor, dual speakers, etc. It will launch in two colours — Aqua Surge and Grey Shimmer. Lastly, the Nord CE 3 will boot the Android 13-based OxygenOS 13.1 out of the box. It will likely get two major Android updates along with security updates for three years.
