OPPO has launched a new smartphone under the affordable A series lineup called the OPPO A59 5G. The Chinese smartphone giant has priced the smartphone at Rs 14,999 for the base variant. The device sports a waterdrop notch-style display to house the selfie camera.
The A59 5G smartphone has sizeable bezels on all four sides of the display. The device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset, built on a 7nm process.
OPPO A59 5G: Pricing, Availability
OPPO has launched the smartphone in Silk Gold and Starry Black colour options. The Chinese smartphone has debuted the device at Rs 14,999 for the base variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. The top-end variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB costs Rs 16,999.
The smartphone will be available through Amazon India, Flipkart, OPPO’s online store, and offline retail stores. Interested buyers can purchase the product starting December 25. OPPO has announced that customers with SBI Cards, IDFC First Bank, Bank of Baroda credit card, AU Finance Bank, and One Card will receive an instant discount of Rs 1,500 from OPPO’s online store and major offline retail outlets.
The company is also offering No-cost EMI for interested customers with down payments starting at Rs 1,699. Customers purchasing the A59 5G smartphone will also get some assured gifts when purchasing the device via major retail stores.

The smartphone has a slightly protruding camera island with two individual rings. The first ring houses the primary camera, and the second ring houses the secondary sensor and LED flash. The volume rockers and SIM card tray can be seen on the left side of the device. The power button is placed on the right side of the device.
The smartphone has an LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The display has a peak brightness of 720 nits. Under the hood, the device features MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC paired with Mali G57 MP2 GPU. The chipset has two Cortex A76 cores clocked at 2.2GHz, and six Cortex A55 cores clocked at 2.0GHz.
