Samsung has unveiled its latest true wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds4 Pro and Galaxy Buds4, positioning the new Buds4 series as its most refined audio offering yet. The launch focuses on three key areas: upgraded hi-fi sound hardware, a redesigned fit based on large-scale ear data, and tighter integration with Galaxy AI features, especially for hands-free use.
The Buds4 series will launch alongside the Galaxy S26 series, underlining Samsung’s push to treat audio as a core part of its ecosystem experience rather than a standalone accessory.
Blade Design and a More Secure Fit
One of the biggest changes this year is Samsung’s new “blade” design language. According to the company, the Buds4 series is the result of hundreds of millions of ear data points and over 10,000 simulations, aimed at improving long-term comfort and stability.
The earbuds now feature smaller, more ergonomic heads, a stabilised blade with a metal finish, and an engraved pinch-control area for easier tactile use. Samsung has also redesigned the charging case with a transparent clamshell-style cradle, making pairing and storage more intuitive while visually highlighting the new blade design.
The two models cater to different preferences: Buds4 Pro uses a canal-fit design for maximum isolation and features, while Buds4 adopts an open-fit approach for users who prioritise comfort and awareness.
Wider Woofer, Adaptive EQ, and Enhanced ANC
On the audio front, Samsung is leaning heavily on hardware upgrades. The Buds4 Pro introduces a wider woofer with nearly 20 percent more effective speaker area compared to the previous generation, paired with a tweeter to support a wide 20Hz–40kHz frequency range. The earbuds also support 24-bit/96kHz high-resolution audio, aiming to deliver cleaner bass, richer treble, and more detail across genres.
Noise cancellation has also been refined. Enhanced Active Noise Cancellation is designed to better suppress low-frequency sounds such as engine noise during flights or commutes, while Adaptive ANC and EQ adjust in real time based on ear shape and wearing conditions. For calls, Samsung is using super wideband call technology to improve voice clarity in noisy environments.
Galaxy AI Comes to the Foreground
A major talking point for the Buds4 Pro is deeper Galaxy AI integration. Users can invoke AI agents such as Bixby, Google Gemini, and Perplexity through voice commands without reaching for their phone. Head gesture controls further enable hands-free call management and assistant interactions, reinforcing Samsung’s broader push towards contextual, ambient AI experiences across devices.
For Galaxy users, setup is also simpler. Opening the case near a compatible device triggers instant pairing, with controls and EQ settings accessible directly from the Quick Panel, without mandatory app installation.
Availability and Should You Buy
The Galaxy Buds4 series is available for pre-order in select markets starting today, with general availability beginning March 11. Pricing details were not announced at launch.

With the Buds4 series, Samsung is clearly moving beyond incremental sound tuning and focusing on wearability, ecosystem intelligence, and hands-free AI use cases. The wider woofer and adaptive audio upgrades address long-standing audiophile expectations, while the blade design and AI controls signal a future where earbuds act as always-on companions rather than just audio devices. The real test, however, will be how well these AI features work consistently outside tightly controlled demos.
