
Krishna Vamsi, the most prolific director from Tollywood is making heads turn with his films. His next movie, Ranga Martanda, which was released recently, is a remake of veteran actor Nana Patekar’s Marathi film and is creating quite a buzz among the audience; and was eagerly awaited by fans for its digital debut. And now, according to the latest information the film is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Official Trailer and Plot
The film’s creators unveiled a little video of Brahmanandamon on the occasion of his birthday. Brahmanandam plays Chakrapani, one of Rangamarthanda’s key characters. The clips show him reading a passage from the Mahabharata and delivering a monologue while lying on a hospital bed with a saline drip attached to it. Through this teaser, the makers of the film wanted to set the tone for the viewers about what to expect from the movie.
The movie is an official adaptation of “Natsamrat”, a Marathi film. The movie depicts the tale of Raghava Rao, a renowned theatrical performer who holds the title Ranga Marthanda. He marries his younger daughter after retiring, transfers his possessions to his eldest son’s wife, and plans to live a quiet retirement. Nevertheless, things don’t go as planned, and the family is having issues. The rest of the story is based on the problems Raghava Rao and his wife faced after that.
Krishna Vamsi directed the drama film Ranga Maarthaanda, while Abhishek Jawkar and Madhu Kalipu handled the co-production. Prakash Raj, Ramya Krishna, and Brahmanandam play the leads while supported by Chiranjeevi, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Rahul Sipligunj, Shivathmika Rajashekar, and Ali Reza. Ilayaraja was the composer of the music. Editing of the movie is done by Pavankumar Vinnakota.
Reception
To generate good buzz and enthusiasm for the movie, the makers of the film organised special premieres in certain industry circles. Prior to its release, the movie garnered a fantastic reception from the business community thanks to those exclusive premiers. The film was favourably received by critics as well, but it did poorly at the box office. IMDb gave the film a rating of 8.7 with a total vote of 1.3k votes.
