The film’s creators unveiled a little video of Brahmanandamon on the occasion of his birthday. Brahmanandam plays Chakrapani, one of Rangamarthanda’s key characters. The clips show him reading a passage from the Mahabharata and delivering a monologue while lying on a hospital bed with a saline drip attached to it. Through this teaser, the makers of the film wanted to set the tone for the viewers about what to expect from the movie.
The movie is an official adaptation of “Natsamrat”, a Marathi film. The movie depicts the tale of Raghava Rao, a renowned theatrical performer who holds the title Ranga Marthanda. He marries his younger daughter after retiring, transfers his possessions to his eldest son’s wife, and plans to live a quiet retirement. Nevertheless, things don’t go as planned, and the family is having issues. The rest of the story is based on the problems Raghava Rao and his wife faced after that.
