Xiaomi might launch a new Redmi tablet soon. The company is rumoured to launch the Redmi Pad 2 in the coming weeks. Xiaomi’s budget Android tablet is likely to launch in China, followed by other markets. The company has not confirmed any details about the launch date at the time of writing this. However, it looks like the Redmi Pad 2 launch is imminent. The Android tablet has been spotted on the FCC certification website, which has revealed some key details of the Pad 2.

Redmi Pad 2 will launch later this year in China and other markets. The device will debut as a successor to the Redmi Pad, which was launched last year. The Pad 2 has the model number 23073RPBFL. According to the FCC listing, the Redmi Pad 2 will launch with up to 6GB of RAM. The Android tablet will launch in three storage configurations, with the base model featuring 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Xiaomi has also listed the 4GB + 128GB variant of the Pad 2. Lastly, there will be a 6GB RAM option with 128GB of storage. The tablet is also confirmed to feature Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz).
As expected, the Redmi Pad 2 will boot MIUI 14 for Pad out of the box. The software skin is likely to be based on Android 13. The listing does not reveal any other details of the tablet other than the RAM and storage options, and the software skin details.
However, thanks to the rumour mill, some other details of the Pad 2 have leaked in the past. The device is tipped to feature a 2K resolution display. Since it is a budget tablet, we can expect it to feature an IPS LCD panel. The device might offer a display ranging between 10-11 inches. Some reports suggest that the display will be 10.95 inches diagonally tall. It is also likely to offer 90Hz refresh rate support.
