Xiaomi Redmi 7 Pro

The biggest change from the Redmi 6 Pro to the Redmi 7 Pro is its looks. Unlike the glass front and metal back of the Redmi 6 Pro, the Redmi 7 Pro uses a glass-and-metal sandwich design that looks more attractive in comparison. There's a 5.84-inch IPS LCD screen at the front with Full HD+ resolution and a water drop-shaped notch to accommodate the selfie camera. There's a dual-camera setup at the rear along with a fingerprint reader. There's face unlock, too, but it's 2D face unlock which is less reliable than 3D face unlock.

The Xiaomi Redmi 7 Pro runs Android 9 Pie-based MIUI 10 software, which has several additional features like scrolling screenshot, enhanced video player with episode and subtitle support, image editor with unwanted object removal, dual apps, and support for third-party themes. The Redmi 7 Pro uses the trusty 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor with octa-core Kryo CPU that's clocked at 1.8GHz and the Adreno 509 GPU. The phone comes in two variants, one with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, and the other with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Both variants support storage expansion using a microSD card.

The Redmi 7 Pro, similar to its predecessor, features a dual-camera setup at the rear. One of those rear-facing cameras has 12MP resolution, f/2.0 aperture, and phase-detection autofocus. The camera can also record 1080p videos at 60fps. The 5MP sensor at the rear is used for depth sensing, which helps in capturing images with background blur effect. At the front, the Redmi Note 7 Pro features an 8MP resolution camera sensor with fixed focal length and f/2.0 aperture. In low-light conditions, the screen flash feature can be used to light up the face for brighter and cleaner looking selfies. Even the front-facing camera can record 1080p videos. Both rear and front-facing cameras have AI-powered scene detection which helps in choosing the right camera settings for better images.

Xiaomi phones always offer satisfactory battery life, and the Redmi 7 Pro is no different in this regard. The phone comes packed with a decently large 4000mAh battery that can last up to two days of usage with light to medium usage. The phone also comes with faster charging through microUSB port. MIUI also offers intelligent battery saving modes when power is low. Connectivity features include 4G LTE + VoLTE, dual-SIM card slot, A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, dual-band Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.0, IR port, microUSB 2.0 port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
