The Samsung Galaxy A05s arrives as a successor to the Galaxy A04s. The Galaxy A05s features a 6.5-inch PLS TFT LCD display with a HD+ resolution. The smartphone has thin bezels on all sides, a standard 60Hz refresh rate, and a water-drop-shaped notch which houses the selfie camera. The device has a 264 PPI pixel density and a sleek design. The volume and power key is located on the right side of the device. For security purposes, the Galaxy A05s has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor which is embedded in a power button. The device boots Android 13 out of the box with One UI 5 skin on top.

The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm's octa-core Snapdragon 660 SoC which is paired with a Adreno 512 GPU. The device ships with 64GB of internal storage and has 4GB of RAM. The smartphone also has a microSD card slot for the storage expansion beyond 64GB. When it comes to imaging, the Galaxy A05s features a triple-camera setup which consists of a 50MP primary camera and a pair of 2MP depth and macro camera units.
