The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer comes with a premium design language and offers a tall display. The latest smartphone from Redmi brand comes loaded with a glossy finish at the back panel, while the front panel offers a punch-hole cutout that houses a selfie camera. The Redmi model offers 162.9mm height, 76mm width, and 9mm thickness. It offers an IP53 rating, which makes it water and dust-resistant. In terms of display, the gadget has a 6.67-inch screen and offers 395ppi pixel density. The model also features a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. Moreover, you get an OLED display panel and 16 million colours. The phone comes with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ technologies, along with an 86.76 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The phone has an on-screen fingerprint sensor and a face unlock function for security.

Redmi's newest smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset. The octa-core chipset comes with two Cortex A78 cores and six Cortex A55 clocked up to 2.6GHz. In terms of handling graphics, the model features a Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. The chipset is based on a 12nm process. Moving on, the model also packs 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer packs a triple-camera setup on the rear panel. The handset offers a 200MP primary sensor with f/1.65 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/1.8 aperture, and a 2MP macro shooter with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, the company has equipped a 16MP sensor for selfies and video calling along with f/2.05 aperture and 1-micron pixel size. The Redmi smartphone has the latest MIUI 13 and the Android 12 operating system.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer comes loaded with a 4,300mAh battery. The non-removable battery also offers 210W fast charging support. The company claims that the phone can be charged up to 100 per cent in just 9 minutes. For connectivity, the handset supports dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS with GLONASS, NFC, dual-SIM support, IR sensor, stereo speakers, and USB Type-C port.
