boAt Launches Airdopes ProClip At Rs. 1599 Bringing Open-Ear Audio to the Mass Market in India

boAt has launched the Airdopes ProClip, its latest true wireless earbuds aimed at making the growing open-ear audio category more accessible to Indian consumers.

Open-ear earbuds have emerged as one of the fastest-growing personal audio categories globally, offering users the ability to listen to music and take calls while remaining aware of their surroundings. However, adoption in India has remained relatively limited due to higher pricing and the lack of products designed specifically for local usage scenarios. With the Airdopes ProClip, boAt says it aims to make the category more accessible by combining open-ear comfort, situational awareness, and improved listening privacy at an affordable price point.

Designed Around Indian Everyday Use Cases

According to boAt, Indian consumers use audio devices across a wider range of environments, including public transport, workplaces, outdoor activities, workouts, and daily commutes. This creates a greater need for products that balance environmental awareness with listening clarity and privacy. The Airdopes ProClip is designed to address those requirements through its open-ear form factor, allowing users to remain aware of their surroundings while consuming content. The earbuds feature boAt's Cloud Fit design with a lightweight construction and secure loop structure that wraps around the ear for a more stable fit during movement. The company says the design is intended for all-day comfort across work, travel, fitness sessions, and everyday use. To tackle one of the biggest concerns associated with open-ear audio, the Airdopes ProClip also comes with Sonic Seal technology that helps minimise audio leakage. Ambient Sound Awareness further ensures users can stay connected to traffic, conversations, and their surroundings while listening to music or taking calls.

boAt says the combination of comfort, awareness, privacy, and secure fit is aimed at making open-ear audio more practical for Indian consumers who frequently switch between different environments throughout the day. Commenting on the launch, Gaurav Nayyar, CEO of boAt, said that while open-ear audio is gaining popularity globally, categories become meaningful only when they are adapted to local consumer needs. He added that the Airdopes ProClip has been designed specifically to address concerns around comfort, privacy, accessibility, and everyday practicality for Indian users.
