JBL has expanded its premium true wireless portfolio in India with the launch of the JBL Live 4 series, introducing the JBL Live Buds 4 and JBL Live Beam 4. The new earbuds bring several upgrades over the previous generation, including JBL Smart OS 3.0, a redesigned Smart Charging Case, improved adaptive noise cancellation, Hi-Res Audio support and AI-powered calling features.
Live 4 Series Specifications And Features
The biggest highlight of the Live 4 series is the new Smart Charging Case, powered by JBL Smart OS 3.0. The case now features a larger touchscreen with a redesigned interface that lets users swipe through notifications, control music playback, switch EQ presets and access frequently used features without taking out their smartphone. Users can also personalise the interface with custom wallpapers and photos directly on the case.
JBL says the Live 4 earbuds feature new high-fidelity 10mm dynamic drivers that deliver deeper bass and improved clarity while retaining the company's signature sound profile. Both the Live Buds 4 and Live Beam 4 are Hi-Res Audio Certified and support JBL Spatial Sound, Personi-Fi 3.0, Personal Sound Amplification and Low Volume EQ.
Noise cancellation has also received an upgrade with 4-mic True Adaptive Noise Cancelling 2.0, while the Live Beam 4 additionally includes Smart Talk, which automatically lowers music volume when the user starts speaking. JBL has equipped the Live 4 series with 6-Mic Perfect Calls 2.0, paired with an AI-trained algorithm designed to suppress common background noises such as traffic, fans and sudden loud sounds during voice calls. The earbuds also feature Call Equaliser and Sound Level Optimiser to improve voice clarity in different environments.
Battery life varies between the two models. The JBL Live Buds 4 offers up to 32 hours with ANC enabled and 40 hours with ANC disabled, while the JBL Live Beam 4 extends that to 40 hours with ANC on and 48 hours with ANC off. Both models support wireless charging and fast charging, with 10 minutes of charging delivering up to four hours of playback.
Price and availability
The JBL Live Buds 4 and JBL Live Beam 4 are priced at Rs 24,999 each. The Live Buds 4 will be available in Black, Blue, Silver and Sand, while the Live Beam 4 adds Green, Orange and Purple colour options alongside Black, Blue, Silver and Sand. Sales begin on August 6 via JBL India's official website, leading retail stores and major e-commerce platforms.
The JBL Live 4 series isn't trying to compete on audio quality alone. The upgraded Smart Charging Case adds meaningful functionality beyond charging, making it one of the more feature-rich cases in the premium TWS segment.
