Lumio has expanded its home entertainment portfolio in India with the launch of the Aura 5, its first home audio product. The new Hi-Fi bookshelf speaker system is designed to combine traditional stereo sound with the convenience of a self-contained setup, eliminating the need for a separate amplifier or receiver.
Lumio Aura 5 Specifications And Features
The Aura 5 uses a true stereo bookshelf speaker configuration, with each cabinet featuring a 4.5-inch aluminium woofer and a 1-inch silk dome tweeter. The speakers use real wood cabinets and front bass ports, while the physical left-right separation is designed to create a wider stereo soundstage. The system delivers 100W sustained power and 200W peak output, with a claimed sustained sound pressure level of 105dB at one metre. Bass response extends down to 35Hz, allowing the speakers to deliver low-frequency output without requiring a separate subwoofer.
The Aura 5 supports lossless audio playback up to 24-bit/48kHz. Lumio has also equipped the speakers with a dedicated low-noise analogue supply rail for the DAC, which the company says is designed for bit-perfect playback with minimal electrical noise. The new Hi-Fi speaker system offers multiple ways to connect devices, including HDMI ARC, optical, coaxial, 3.5mm, Bluetooth 5.4 and USB. The USB connection supports both PC mode and USB playback, allowing the same speaker pair to be used with a television, computer or other compatible sources.
Lumio is also bundling a Minion OLED Bluetooth remote for controlling the speakers. The company says an Android and iOS companion app is coming soon. The Aura 5 features Lumio's proprietary DGS audio tuning, with three dedicated listening modes: Studio, Cinema and Groove. The Studio mode is designed as a balanced profile for everyday listening, while Cinema mode emphasises higher frequencies for dialogue and atmospheric details. Groove mode increases bass response for more energetic content. The speakers have a frequency response range of 35Hz to 20kHz, according to the specifications shared by Lumio.
Lumio Aura 5 Price and Availability in India
The Lumio Aura 5 is priced at Rs 24,999 and will be sold through Amazon India during the Amazon Great Indian Festival. An early-bird price of Rs 19,999 will be available from October 15, with additional bank offers also available on Amazon India.
Lumio is offering a one-year comprehensive warranty for the speaker pair and six months of warranty for the Minion OLED remote. The company says it has a network of more than 300 service centres across India and will provide home service for the Aura 5. The Aura 5 takes a different approach from the typical soundbar or Bluetooth speaker by offering a proper stereo bookshelf setup while keeping the installation simple. The combination of dual woofers and tweeters, 100W sustained output, 24-bit/48kHz lossless playback and multiple wired and wireless inputs makes it an interesting option for buyers looking for a more traditional Hi-Fi experience without building a complicated audio system.
