Asus has expanded its Chromebook lineup in India with the launch of three new models, the Chromebook CM32 Detachable, Chromebook CM14, and Chromebook CM15. These new additions target students, professionals, and users who are looking for lightweight ChromeOS laptops at an affordable price. These laptops have been launched in India with prices starting at Rs 26,990.
The highlight of the lineup is the all-new Asus Chromebook CM32 Detachable, a 2-in-1 device that can switch between a traditional laptop and a tablet too. It features a 12.1-inch 2.5K touchscreen display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, stylus support, up to 600 nits of brightness, and 98 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage.
Furthermore, all three laptops are powered by the MediaTek Kompanio 540 processor. It is coupled with ARM Mali-G57 MC2 graphics, up to 8GB LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 256GB eMMC storage, depending on the model. On the software end, as usual, they ship with ChromeOS and also carry MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability certification.
Coming to the 2-in-1 laptop now, the Chromebook CM32 Detachable comes with a detachable keyboard with an integrated touchpad, a 5-megapixel front camera, a 5-megapixel rear camera, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C connectivity, and a 42Wh battery which is claimed to deliver up to 12 hours of usage. Along with that, you get a 45-watt charger in the box.
Meanwhile, the Chromebook CM14 features a 14-inch Full-HD display and is available in both touchscreen and non-touch variants. The larger Chromebook CM15 comes with a 15.6-inch Full-HD display. The USP of these laptops are that they feature a 180-degree lay-flat hinge. Lastly, the CM14 packs up to a 50Wh battery, while the CM15 gets a larger 63Wh unit.

The Asus Chromebook CM32 Detachable has been launched in India at a price of Rs 37,990. The Chromebook CM14 starts at Rs 26,990, while the Chromebook CM15 comes at a starting price of Rs 28,990.
The CM32 Detachable is currently available for pre-orders, while all three models will go on sale starting June 19 via the Asus E-Shop and Amazon.
