Dell has launched its new Pro Essential 14 and Pro Essential 15 laptops in India, targeting small businesses that need portable systems for everyday office work, multitasking and business communication. The new laptops feature Intel Core Series 3 or AMD Ryzen 200 Series processors, up to 64GB of memory and up to 1TB of SSD storage. The Dell Pro Essential lineup also brings a thinner and lighter design, refreshed productivity-focused keyboard shortcuts and hardware-backed security features.
Dell Pro Essential 14 and 15 Specifications and Features
Dell says the new Pro Essential laptops are 11% thinner and between 9% and 16% lighter than the previous generation. They are available in Celestial Blue and Platinum Silver colour options. The laptops can be configured with Intel Core Series 3 or AMD Ryzen 200 Series processors, up to 64GB of memory and up to 1TB of SSD storage. Dell has not specified the exact processor models or detailed configuration combinations in its announcement.
For display options, buyers can choose between FHD+ panels rated at 400 nits and 2.5K panels rated at 500 nits. Both options use a 16:10 aspect ratio, offering additional vertical screen space for documents, webpages and multitasking. Camera options include HD and FHD IR variants, accompanied by dual microphones for video calls. Dell has refreshed the keyboard with dedicated shortcut keys intended to speed up common tasks. These include a microphone mute key with an LED indicator, a dictation key for voice input and a snapshot key for capturing the screen. The touchpad is also 6% larger than that of the previous generation, according to Dell.
For connectivity, both laptops feature two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, an HDMI port and an audio jack. Intel variants additionally include an RJ-45 Ethernet port, giving businesses a wired networking option alongside wireless connectivity. The Dell Pro Essential 14 and 15 include a Trusted Platform Module (TPM), biometric login options through a fingerprint reader or FHD IR camera, a mechanical camera shutter and a security lock slot.
Dell says the laptops have been tested to MIL-STD-810H standards for durability. They are also EPEAT Gold Climate+ registered and ENERGY STAR certified, subject to applicable configurations and registration requirements. The packaging uses recycled or renewable materials.
