Lava has launched the Virat Curve 5G in India, adding a new premium-looking smartphone to its Virat series. The phone features a 6.67-inch 3D curved AMOLED display, a rear mini screen, MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset, 50MP Sony camera and a 6,000mAh battery.

The Virat Curve 5G features a 6.67-inch FHD+ 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1920Hz PWM dimming, 10-bit colour depth and support for 1.07 billion colours. The display can reach up to 1,100 nits peak brightness, according to Lava. One of the phone's key design elements is its rear mini screen, which can display notifications, clock, battery percentage, charging status and volume information. Users can also set custom texts and emojis on the secondary display. The Virat Curve 5G is offered in Heritage Indigo, Makrana Ivory and Ellora Slate, with vegan leather and 3D PMMA back options. The phone weighs 184g with the battery.
The smartphone is powered by the 2.4GHz MediaTek Dimensity 7100 octa-core processor based on a 6nm process. Lava claims an AnTuTu score of over 800,000. It comes with 6GB LPDDR5 RAM, along with up to 6GB of virtual RAM, and 128GB of internal storage.
The Virat Curve 5G houses a 6,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. However, the smartphone comes with a 33W charger in the box.
Lava claims up to 55 hours of talk time, 11 hours of continuous YouTube playback and up to 720 hours of standby time. For photography, the smartphone features a 50MP Sony IMX752 primary camera with EIS and support for 2K video recording. The camera software includes Night Mode, Pro Video, Dual-View Video, Motion Photo and Sports Mode. On the front, there is a 13MP selfie camera with screen flash.
The Virat Curve 5G runs Android 16 with no bloatware or ads. Lava has also included its Vayu AI assistant, which the company describes as a natural and intuitive AI experience. The phone is set to receive an upcoming software update introducing Lava's new UI, along with a native Gallery app and a more refined Vayu AI experience. Lava promises two years of OS upgrades and three years of security updates.
The phone comes with IronGuard Protection, using Al-Si DT Star 2 cover glass and MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification. It also carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. Other features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, face unlock, dual stereo speakers with dual-mic noise cancellation and an IR blaster for controlling compatible appliances.
Lava Virat Curve 5G Price and Availability in India
The Lava Virat Curve 5G is priced at Rs 23,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. Under the launch offer, the phone will be available for Rs 19,999, inclusive of bank offers. The smartphone will be available on Flipkart from September 28, 2026, at 7 PM.
The Virat Curve 5G is clearly aimed at buyers who want a more premium design without moving too far up the price ladder. The curved AMOLED panel and rear mini screen give it some visual differentiation, while the Dimensity 7100, 6,000mAh battery and clean Android 16 experience round out the package. At Rs 19,999 with launch offers, it could be an interesting option in the sub-Rs 20,000 segment.
