Lava has just launched Virat Curve 5G in India at a special launch price of ₹19,999. The smartphone sits in the sub ₹20,000 segment and will be available in a single 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. It will go on sale on Flipkart from September 28 at 7 PM.
The Virat Curve 5G features a 6.67-inch FHD+ 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit colour depth and a claimed peak brightness of 1,100 nits. The panel also supports 1,920Hz PWM dimming. A secondary rear mini screen sits alongside the camera module and can display notifications, the clock, battery percentage, charging status and volume information.
The smartphone is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7100 chipset, paired with 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of storage. Lava claims the phone scores more than 8 lakh on AnTuTu. It runs Android 16 and is promised two years of OS upgrades and three years of security updates.
For photography, the Virat Curve 5G gets a 50-megapixel Sony IMX752 primary camera with EIS and support for 2K video recording. There is also a 13-megapixel front camera with screen flash. Camera features include Night Mode, Pro Video, Dual-View Video, Motion Photo and Sports Mode.
The phone packs a 6,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. A 33W charger is included in the box. Other features include IP64 dust and water resistance, MIL-STD-810H certification, dual stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, an IR blaster and NFC.
The Virat Curve 5G weighs 184 grams and comes with a vegan leather finish on select variants. It will be available in Heritage Indigo, Makrana Ivory and Ellora Slate.
The phone has an MRP of ₹23,999 and is being offered at ₹19,999 as a launch price, inclusive of bank offers.
