Motorola Razr Fold Launched in India With Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, 8.1-Inch Foldable Display

Motorola has launched the Razr Fold in India, marking the company's first book-style foldable smartphone in the country. The device was originally unveiled globally at MWC 2026 in March and now enters India's premium foldable segment with flagship specifications, large displays, and long-term software support.

The Moto Buds 2 Plus are being bundled alongside the Motorola Razr Fold, expanding Motorola's premium ecosystem offering. The earbuds feature audio tuning by Bose and are positioned in the mid-premium TWS segment.

Moto Buds Plus Specifications

The Moto Buds 2 Plus include 11mm dynamic drivers paired with Knowles balanced armatures. They also support LHDC and LDAC codecs for higher-quality wireless audio and lower latency performance across supported devices.

For noise management, the earbuds feature adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) along with a Transparency Mode. Motorola has also included a six-microphone system with Environmental Noise Cancellation and CrystalTalk AI for voice calls.

Battery life is rated at up to 9 hours on a single charge and up to 40 hours with the charging case. The earbuds support fast charging as well.

Additional features include Bluetooth 6.0 connectivity, dual-device pairing, Gaming Mode, wear detection, Fit Test, and IP54-rated dust and water resistance. The earbuds also support select Moto AI features on compatible Motorola smartphones.

Motorola Razr Fold, Moto Buds Plus Price in India

The Motorola Razr Fold starts at Rs. 1,49,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The higher-end model with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at Rs. 1,59,999. Motorola has also introduced a FIFA World Cup 26 Collection edition of the foldable, priced at Rs. 1,69,999.

As part of launch offers, buyers can avail of a Rs. 10,000 instant bank discount or opt for an exchange bonus of the same value. The company is also offering no-cost EMI options for up to 18 months on select bank cards.

Customers purchasing the foldable before June 20 will receive a one-time free screen replacement valid for one year from the date of purchase.

Jio users on the Rs. 449 plan will also get additional benefits, including a three-month JioHotstar subscription, 5,000GB cloud storage with Gemini Pro, and partner offers from brands such as Ajio, Tira, and EaseMyTrip.

The smartphone is available in Pantone Blackened Blue and Pantone Lily White colour options through Flipkart and select retail stores.

The Moto Buds 2 Plus are currently available via Flipkart in PANTONE Silhouette and PANTONE Cool White colour options at an effective launch price of Rs. 4,999.

Motorola Razr Fold Specifications

The Razr Fold features a dual-display setup. On the outside, there is a 6.6-inch LTPO pOLED cover display with a 165Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 6,000 nits.

Inside, the foldable sports a larger 8.1-inch LTPO pOLED display with 2K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 6,200 nits peak brightness. Motorola has also included Ultra Thin Glass (UTG) protection for the inner screen.

The phone measures 10.04mm thick when folded and just 4.7mm when unfolded, while weighing 243 grams.

Powering the Razr Fold is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset paired with the Adreno A829 GPU. The device comes with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage.

The foldable runs Android 16-based My UX out of the box. Motorola is promising up to seven Android OS upgrades and seven years of security updates, placing it among the longest-supported Android devices currently available.

The Motorola Razr Fold includes a triple rear camera system featuring a 50MP primary Sony LYTIA sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera.

For selfies and video calls, the phone includes a 32MP front camera on the cover display and a 20MP camera on the inner screen. The rear cameras support video recording up to 8K at 30fps and 4K at 60fps.

The foldable packs a 6,000mAh battery with support for 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

Connectivity features include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, NFC, Bluetooth, USB Type-C, and support for NavIC alongside other global navigation systems. The device also comes with an IP49 rating for dust and water resistance.

With the Razr Fold, Motorola is expanding beyond flip-style foldables and entering the larger book-style foldable segment, directly competing with premium offerings from Samsung, OnePlus, and Vivo.
