OnePlus N6 to launch in India on June 30: Price, Specs and Everything we know

OnePlus is preparing to re-enter the budget smartphone segment in a big way. The company has officially confirmed that the new OnePlus N6 will launch in India on June 30 at 12 PM, marking the debut of the new N series in the country.

An Amazon microsite for the smartphone is already live, confirming that the device will be sold through the e-commerce platform. While OnePlus has yet to reveal detailed specifications, the launch itself is noteworthy because it signals the company’s return to a price segment it has largely avoided in recent years.

At present, the Nord CE6 Lite is the most affordable OnePlus smartphone available in India, with a starting price of Rs 22,999. The upcoming N series is expected to sit below the Nord lineup, giving budget-conscious buyers a more affordable entry point into the OnePlus ecosystem.

OnePlus N6 design revealed ahead of launch

Although the company has not officially shared the specifications, teaser images have revealed several aspects of the smartphone’s design.

The OnePlus N6 will be available in at least two colour options, including a mint green finish and a dark grey variant. The phone follows the clean and minimalist design language that has become increasingly common across recent OnePlus devices.

The rear panel appears flat with rounded corners, while the camera system is housed in a rectangular module positioned in the upper-left corner. The module features two large circular camera rings stacked vertically alongside a pill-shaped LED flash unit.

OnePlus branding remains understated, with the company’s logo positioned in the centre of the rear panel. On the front, the device features slim bezels and a centrally aligned punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.

The overall design suggests that OnePlus is prioritising a premium appearance despite the phone’s expected budget pricing.

OnePlus could target the sub-Rs 20,000 market

While official specifications remain under wraps, reports suggest the OnePlus N6 could be priced below Rs 20,000. If that proves accurate, it would become one of the company’s most affordable smartphones in recent memory.

That pricing would place the N6 directly against popular devices from Redmi, POCO, Realme, Lava, and Motorola, all of which have established a strong presence in India’s highly competitive budget smartphone market.

The segment has evolved considerably over the past few years. Buyers now expect features such as high-refresh-rate displays, large batteries, fast charging, capable cameras, and long-term software support even in lower-priced smartphones.

This makes the N6 an important product for OnePlus. The company has traditionally been associated with premium and upper mid-range devices, but the new N series could help it reach a much wider audience.

The timing is also interesting. Smartphone prices have steadily increased across the industry due to rising component costs and growing hardware demands. In recent months, several industry executives have suggested that phone prices are likely to continue rising in the future.

Against that backdrop, a budget-focused OnePlus smartphone could attract significant attention from buyers looking for value without sacrificing software quality. OxygenOS remains one of the cleaner Android experiences available today, and access to that software at a lower price point could become one of the N6’s biggest selling points.

For now, however, buyers may want to wait until June 30, when OnePlus is expected to reveal the full specifications, features, and official pricing of the N6.
