OnePlus has launched the OnePlus N6 in India, and it's the cheapest smartphone in the current stable. The new device, spotted below the OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite, is expected to deliver long-lasting battery life, solid daily performance, and a clean software experience without stepping into premium pricing.
The smartphone is powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex processor and a huge 8,000mAh battery, and the battery life is its biggest selling point. It features a 6.7-inch 120Hz display, 50MP rear camera, stereo speakers and OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16.
OnePlus N6 Specifications
The OnePlus N6 comes out of the box with Android 16 with OxygenOS 16 on top. OnePlus has promised two Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates, which is on par with most of the smartphones in this price segment.
The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex processor, which is making its debut in India. The chipset is an upgraded variant of the Dimensity 6300 and is coupled with an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. Buyers can opt for up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, with support for RAM expansion as well. The phone comes with a 5,300mm² vapor chamber cooling system to keep the temps in check during gaming and heavy workloads.
Biggest attraction is the 8,000mAh battery. With average use, OnePlus claims the battery can last up to three days on a single charge. It supports 45W wired fast charging, bypass charging,g and 5W reverse wired charging. The company also claims the battery is designed to retain 80 percent of its health after seven years of use and is rated for up to 1,600 charge cycles.
The OnePlus N6 features a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. The HD+ resolution may not wow you when compared to Full HD+ rivals but the high refresh rate should guarantee smooth scrolling and animations.

How does it compare with the Nord CE6 Lite?
The OnePlus N6 is aimed more at battery-conscious consumers than the OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite. The biggest highlight is the giant 8,000mAh battery, compared to the already huge 7,000mAh cell of the Nord CE6 Lite.
However, the Nord CE6 Lite comes with a sharper FHD+ display with a higher 144Hz refresh rate and is powered by the more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Apex chipset, making it the better performer for gaming and multitasking. Both phones feature 45W fast charging, Android 16, MIL-STD-810H certification, and expandable storage, but the N6 has a better battery life.
