Oppo X9 Ultra, X9S Set To Launch In India Soon: All You Need To Know

OPPO has confirmed that the Find X9 Ultra and Find X9s will launch in India in May 2026, expanding its flagship Find X9 lineup in the country. The announcement comes a few months after the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro debuted in November, and signals OPPO's strategy to offer a broader range of flagship devices across different price segments.

With the addition of these two models, the Find X9 series in India will include four devices: Find X9s, Find X9, Find X9 Pro, and Find X9 Ultra. While pricing and availability details are yet to be announced, OPPO is expected to position the Ultra as its top-tier flagship, while the X9s will cater to users looking for a more balanced option.

Find X9 Ultra: Focus On Camera And Performance

The Find X9 Ultra sits at the top of OPPO's lineup and is designed as a camera-focused flagship. It features a 6.82-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 1,800 nits. Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.

The camera system is the main highlight. The phone includes a quad-camera setup with a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, a 200MP telephoto camera, and a 50MP ultra-telephoto lens. It supports up to 10x optical zoom and up to 120x digital zoom. OPPO continues its partnership with Hasselblad for colour tuning and imaging features, including XPAN mode and advanced video capabilities.

For video, the device supports 8K recording and 4K at 120fps with Dolby Vision. It is backed by a 7,050mAh battery with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The phone runs on ColorOS 16 based on Android 16.

In China, the Find X9 Ultra starts at CNY 7,499 (approximately ₹1.03 lakh), and it is expected to be priced higher in India. It will compete with other ultra-premium camera-focused devices in the market.

Find X9s: A More Balanced Flagship

Alongside the Ultra, OPPO will introduce the Find X9s, which is expected to offer flagship-level performance in a more compact and accessible package. The device is confirmed to feature a flat display with ultra-thin bezels measuring around 1.15mm. It is expected to have a display size of around 6.5 inches, making it easier to handle compared to the larger Ultra.

The Find X9s will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset. It is also expected to include a large 7,025mAh battery, which could deliver strong battery life compared to other devices in this segment.

For photography, OPPO has teased a 50MP triple-camera setup, likely including a primary sensor, an ultra-wide lens, and a telephoto lens. While it may not match the Ultra in terms of zoom or sensor size, it should still offer a versatile camera experience for everyday use.

What To Expect

The Find X9 Ultra and Find X9s are expected to cover different ends of the flagship spectrum. The Ultra will focus on camera performance and high-end specifications, while the X9s will aim to deliver a more balanced experience with strong performance and battery life.

More details, including official pricing and availability, will be revealed closer to the launch in May.
