POCO has announced the sale of its latest X8 series in India, with the POCO X8 and POCO X8 Power now available from today. The smartphones went on sale at 12 noon exclusively through Flipkart, with the lineup focusing heavily on performance, display quality, battery life and durability.
POCO X8 and X8 Power Specifications
The POCO X8 is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 Mobile Platform, built on a 4nm process and clocked at up to 2.4GHz. It comes with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The POCO X8 Power, meanwhile, uses the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 Mobile Platform, with CPU speeds of up to 2.6GHz. It is paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
Both smartphones feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 12-bit colour depth and up to 3,500 nits peak brightness. The X8 Power additionally supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Both phones also feature stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio, with POCO claiming up to 300% volume boost on the X8 and 400% on the X8 Power.
Battery life is one of the biggest highlights of the new lineup. The POCO X8 packs a 9,000mAh Silicon-Carbon battery with support for 67W Xiaomi HyperCharge. It also supports 22.5W wired reverse charging and comes with a 67W charger in the box. The POCO X8 Power goes even further with a 10,000mAh Silicon-Carbon battery and 100W Xiaomi HyperCharge. It supports 27W wired reverse charging and includes a 100W charger in the box.
For photography, the POCO X8 features a 50MP primary camera with OIS, an f/1.8 aperture and a 5P lens. It is paired with a 2MP depth camera and a 16MP front camera. Camera features include Portrait Mode, HDR, Live Moments, Ultra HD Mode, Pro Mode and Dual Video.
The POCO X8 Power gets a more versatile setup with a 50MP OIS main camera, a wider f/1.5 aperture and a 6P lens, alongside an 8MP ultrawide camera. It also supports Auto Scene Detection and 2X in-sensor ultra-clear zoom. Both the rear and 32MP front cameras can record 4K video at 30fps.
POCO has also focused on durability with the X8 series. Both smartphones feature Corning Gorilla Victus 2 and carry IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings. The devices have also received Five-Star Quality Certification from SGS and TÜV. On the software front, both phones run Xiaomi HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. POCO promises four years of Android updates and six years of security patches, giving the smartphones extended software support.
POCO X8 and X8 Power Price in India
The POCO X8 is priced at Rs 29,999, while the POCO X8 Power costs Rs 35,999. As part of the launch offer, buyers can get a Rs 2,000 coupon along with a Rs 1,000 bank offer or exchange bonus. This brings the effective prices down to Rs 26,999 for the POCO X8 and Rs 32,999 for the X8 Power.
Both smartphones also come with a 12-month No-Cost EMI option, starting at Rs 2,250 per month for the X8 and Rs 2,750 per month for the X8 Power. The POCO X8 series is clearly targeting users who want maximum hardware for their money. The combination of 1.5K AMOLED displays, 120Hz refresh rate, large Silicon-Carbon batteries and high durability ratings makes the lineup particularly interesting in the sub-Rs 35,000 segment.
The X8 Power is the more aggressive option, with its 10,000mAh battery, 100W charging, Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chip and 4K recording. Meanwhile, the standard X8 keeps the price lower while still offering a 9,000mAh battery, 67W charging and the same high-resolution AMOLED display. At an effective starting price of Rs 26,999, the POCO X8 looks like the more value-focused option, while the X8 Power makes sense for buyers who prioritise battery endurance and faster hardware.
