Realme 16x 5G To Launch In India Soon; Leaks Reveal

Realme isn't done with its 16 series yet. The lineup already includes the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G, Realme 16 Pro 5G, and Realme 16 5G, with the standard model launching in India in April. Now, another device appears to be on the way, suggesting the series is set to expand further.

Leak Reveals New Realme 16x 5G; No Word On Pricing or Launch Date

According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, Realme is preparing to launch the Realme 16x 5G, identified by the model number RMX5270. While the company hasn't officially confirmed the device, early leaks indicate that development is underway. Typically, once such details start surfacing, it suggests that a launch could happen in the near future. However, there is still no confirmed timeline or pricing information available at this stage.

Realme 16x 5g Expected Specifications

The Realme 16x 5G is expected to be offered in two colour options: Endurance Brown and Glory White. In terms of storage, the device could come in three configurations: 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, and 6GB RAM with 256GB storage. These options suggest that Realme is targeting the budget segment once again, focusing on practical configurations rather than high-end specifications.

This upcoming model is likely to succeed the Realme 15x 5G, which launched in October 2025 at a starting price of Rs 16,999. The Realme 15x focused heavily on delivering strong everyday performance, backed by a large 6.8-inch display with up to a 144Hz refresh rate. It was powered by the Dimensity 6300 processor and featured a 50MP main camera. One of its key highlights was the 7,000mAh battery, paired with 60W fast charging, making it a strong option for users prioritising battery life and long usage hours.

The Realme 16x is expected to follow a similar approach. It will likely sit below the Realme 16 5G in the lineup, which comes with a Dimensity 6400 Turbo chipset. This positioning suggests that the 16x may use a slightly less powerful processor while maintaining a balance among performance, battery life, and price. Realme is expected to continue focusing on features that matter most in this segment, such as a large battery, smooth display, and stable day-to-day performance.

The inclusion of a 4GB RAM variant also points toward an aggressive pricing strategy. The device is expected to fall within the Rs 15,000 to Rs 18,000 range, a highly competitive segment in the Indian market. It will compete with devices like the iQOO Z11x, POCO M8, and Lava Blaze Duo 3, where factors such as battery capacity, display quality, and overall reliability play a key role in purchase decisions.

For buyers considering a phone in this price range, it may be worth waiting for the Realme 16x 5G. Even small improvements in areas like processing power or charging speeds can have a noticeable impact over long-term use.
