Qualcomm has unveiled its new flagship mobile platform lineup, introducing the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. The new chipsets are designed to power the next generation of premium Android smartphones, with a focus on on-device AI, gaming, imaging and connectivity. Motorola has also previewed the Motorola signature 27, which will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. The company calls it its most advanced smartphone yet, with the device bringing together Qualcomm's latest flagship silicon, agentic AI features, a new camera system and premium design.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Features
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 sits at the top of Qualcomm's new mobile platform lineup. Qualcomm says it is designed to deliver advanced on-device AI capabilities and performance for premium Android smartphones.
One of its major additions is Adreno Neural Fusion, which uses AI to enhance mobile gaming graphics. Qualcomm says the technology is designed to deliver richer visuals and longer gameplay sessions.
The platform also brings AI-powered camera capabilities with Advanced Professional Video (APV) support and Intelligent Pixel Control, enabling deeper scene understanding and improvements to image and video quality. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 uses the same advanced 2nm process node and features Qualcomm's custom Oryon CPU, redesigned Adreno GPU and Hexagon NPU. Qualcomm says it brings many of the same AI, gaming, imaging and connectivity capabilities to a broader range of top-tier smartphones. Both platforms are expected to feature in flagship smartphones from brands including Honor, iQOO, Motorola , Nubia, OnePlus, OPPO, REDMI, RedMagic, vivo, Xiaomi and ZTE.
Motorola Signature 27 Specifications And Features
Motorola has previewed the Motorola signature 27 at Snapdragon Summit, giving the first look at a smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. The company says the new flagship will offer enhanced on-device AI, camera capabilities, gaming performance, and connectivity. It also features a six-antenna design that Motorola says can double download speeds and enable faster cloud-based AI applications.
To maintain performance during demanding workloads, the Signature 27 uses Motorola 's ArcticMesh cooling system. It combines diamond-infused thermal gel, liquid metal, copper mesh and a redesigned 3D vapour chamber. Motorola says the thermal system is 40% larger than the previous generation. The phone will also receive seven years of OS upgrades. The Motorola signature 27 will feature deeper integration with Google Gemini, with Motorola positioning the phone around agentic AI experiences that can move beyond answering questions to helping users complete tasks.
The phone will support Gemini Omni, which can turn prompts, photos or existing footage into polished videos, while Gemini Lyria can generate original music and custom soundtracks. The Signature 27 will feature a triple-focused camera experience built around a 50MP Sony LYTIA 910 main sensor and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera.
Motorola is also introducing its Video Enhancement Engine, which uses AI to analyse scenes and adjust colour tones in real time while recording. The system is designed to improve video quality across situations such as concerts, low-light scenes and sunsets. The camera setup also combines Qualcomm's Image Stabilization technology with 3.5-degree OIS hardware for smoother handheld video and panning. The Motorola signature 27 will be the company's first smartphone to feature Audio by Bang & Olufsen, following Motorola 's recently announced multi-year exclusive partnership with the audio brand.
The phone features an aluminium silhouette with contoured edges, along with a camera plane made from ceramic and brushed aluminium. It will be offered in two finishes which are Pantone Coal Smoke in Tactical Weave and Pantone Capulet Olive in a Feather-inspired finish.
Motorola Signature 27 Price and Availability
Motorola has not yet announced the price of the Signature 27. The company says the smartphone is expected to launch in markets worldwide in 2026, with more details to be revealed closer to availability.
