ASUS has officially announced the India pricing of the ASUS Pad, its latest premium Android tablet. Unlike many Android tablets that compete primarily on affordability, ASUS is taking a premium approach here, focusing on display quality, multimedia performance, portability and productivity.
ASUS Pad Specifications And Features
The biggest highlight of the ASUS Pad is undoubtedly its 12.2-inch 2.8K dual-layer OLED display, which ASUS claims is a segment-first. The panel offers a 144Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, and up to 2,000 nits peak brightness, making it suitable for HDR entertainment, creative work, gaming and outdoor usage.
Dual-layer OLED technology is still uncommon in tablets and offers better brightness efficiency, improved longevity and deeper contrast compared to conventional OLED panels. It's a feature typically associated with much more expensive devices.
ASUS has also focused heavily on portability. The tablet measures just 6.5mm thick and weighs 523g, making it easy to carry for work, travel or entertainment. At under Rs. 50,000, the ASUS Pad enters an increasingly competitive premium tablet segment occupied by the OnePlus Pad series, Samsung Galaxy Tab S FE lineup, Xiaomi Pad series, and Apple's iPad Air.
