ASUS has announced the ASUS Pad T3201 in India, marking its return to the Android tablet segment with a premium offering focused on entertainment, productivity, and creativity. Positioned as a device "For Your Me Time," the ASUS Pad will go on sale on August 6 via Flipkart, the ASUS eShop, ASUS and ROG Stores, Reliance Digital, and authorised retail partners, while pricing will be announced closer to launch.
ASUS Pad T3201 Specifications And Features
The highlight of the ASUS Pad is its 12.2-inch 2.8K dual-layer OLED display with a 3:2 aspect ratio, 144Hz refresh rate, 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, and up to 2,000 nits peak brightness. ASUS says the panel is designed to deliver vibrant colours, deeper contrast, and smoother visuals whether users are streaming movies, gaming, reading, or working on creative projects. TÜV-certified low blue light and low flicker technologies are also included for a more comfortable viewing experience during extended usage.
Powering the tablet is the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 octa-core processor paired with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. Users can further expand storage by up to 1TB using a microSD card. The tablet runs Android 16 out of the box and supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 for faster wireless connectivity across work and entertainment use cases.
For multimedia, ASUS has equipped the Pad with a quad-speaker setup featuring Dolby Atmos 360-degree Cinematic Sound, aiming to deliver an immersive audio experience for movies, music, and gaming. The device also supports ASUS Pen 2.0 and Bluetooth keyboards, allowing users to switch between entertainment and productivity with note-taking, sketching, document editing, and creative work. Google's Circle to Search and ASUS GlideX are included to improve productivity through faster search and seamless file sharing between Android, Windows, macOS, and iOS devices.
Despite its large display, the ASUS Pad measures just 6.5mm thick and weighs 523g, making it easy to carry for travel, work, or study. It packs a 9,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging, which ASUS claims can charge the battery from zero to 50 percent in around 30 minutes. The company is also bundling a protective folio case with four viewing modes in the box for added convenience.
The tablet features a 13MP rear camera for document scanning and casual photography, along with a 5MP front camera that supports video calls and Face Unlock. Additional hardware includes a USB Type-C port with DisplayPort 1.4 and Power Delivery support, a fiberglass rear panel, and sensors such as an accelerometer, gyroscope, hall sensor, and ambient light sensor.
With the ASUS Pad, the company is making a fresh push into India's growing Android tablet market by focusing on premium entertainment while retaining productivity-focused features. The combination of a high-refresh-rate OLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor, Dolby Atmos quad speakers, Android 16, and stylus support positions it as an alternative for users looking for a versatile Android tablet that can handle media consumption, creative tasks, online learning, and everyday productivity in a lightweight form factor. Pricing will be revealed ahead of its August 6 sale.
