LG Electronics India has launched the LG MAGNIT Gen 2 Micro LED Display in India, expanding its Information Display portfolio with a large-format solution aimed at premium commercial and luxury residential applications. The display was unveiled at the 12th edition of LG's Grand Tech Seminar. The company has also introduced the LG MAGNIT Essential AIO, a 136-inch Direct View LED display designed to simplify installation and maintenance.
LG MAGNIT Gen 2 Specifications And Features Specifications And Features
The LG MAGNIT Gen 2 features an ultra-high-definition display with enhanced contrast, deeper blacks and improved grayscale performance. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which is designed to deliver smoother and more realistic visuals.
LG has also applied a black coating to the front of the display. The company says this helps produce deeper blacks and improve contrast and colour accuracy, while also providing protection against moisture, dust and external impact. One of the key additions is LG's Line-to-Dot (LTD) technology. In conventional LED displays, a defect affecting a driver IC can impact an entire line of pixels. LG's technology converts potential line-level defects into dot-level defects, isolating the issue to an individual pixel.
LG says this approach also reduces the visibility of minor pixel imperfections, helping maintain a more consistent viewing experience. The MAGNIT Gen 2 is designed around LG's scalable cabinet-based architecture, allowing LED cabinets to be connected to create larger screens. The display features a patented front-access alignment system, allowing installers to make fine alignment adjustments from the front rather than accessing the rear of the display. LG says this can reduce installation time for large-scale deployments. The display also supports optical fibre connectivity for secure, long-distance signal transmission, giving installations greater flexibility.
LG is positioning the MAGNIT Gen 2 for environments including luxury retail spaces, hospitality, corporate boardrooms, command centres, auditoriums, conference rooms and professional broadcast studios.
Alongside the MAGNIT Gen 2, LG has launched the LG MAGNIT Essential AIO (LASA136). It combines chip-on-board Micro LED technology, an integrated webOS controller and built-in speakers in a single package. The 136-inch display offers Full HD resolution and 600 nits of brightness, along with front-service access. LG says the all-in-one design is intended to reduce installation complexity and simplify maintenance for organisations deploying large-format displays.
LG MAGNIT Gen 2 Price and Availability
LG has not announced pricing or availability details for the MAGNIT Gen 2 or MAGNIT Essential AIO yet.
The products have been introduced as part of LG Electronics India's Information Display portfolio, with the MAGNIT Gen 2 aimed at premium commercial and luxury residential environments. The LG MAGNIT Gen 2 is not a conventional consumer TV replacement. It is designed for large-scale commercial and premium residential installations, where installation time, reliability and long-term maintenance can matter as much as image quality. The most interesting additions are therefore not just the 120Hz refresh rate or deeper blacks, but the Line-to-Dot technology and front-access alignment system. Isolating pixel defects and allowing installers to make alignment adjustments from the front could make a meaningful difference when dealing with very large LED installations. The MAGNIT Essential AIO takes a more straightforward approach, combining the display, webOS controller and speakers into one 136-inch package. For businesses looking to deploy large-format displays without dealing with a complicated installation process, that could be the more practical option.
