Oura has launched the Oura Ring 5 in India, bringing a redesigned smart ring with a smaller profile, upgraded sensing technology and up to nine days of battery life. The company claims the new model is 40% smaller than the Oura Ring 4, with a lightweight titanium construction designed for continuous health tracking.
Oura Ring 5 Features and Specifications
The Oura Ring 5 uses lightweight, non-allergenic titanium and features smoother curves and lower-profile sensor domes. Its redesigned structure aims to improve comfort and skin contact, including during exercise and sleep.
Oura's next-generation sensing architecture combines more powerful LEDs with 12 optimised signal pathways to capture health signals across a wider range of finger types and skin tones. The collected data is processed through the Oura app to provide personalised insights into sleep, activity, stress, recovery and overall wellbeing.
Battery life is rated at six to nine days on a single charge, depending on ring size and usage. The ring is available in sizes 6 to 13 and six finishes: Black, Silver, Stealth, Brushed Silver, Gold and Deep Rose. The Oura Ring 5 launch also highlights the company's broader health-tracking platform, including Health Radar, GLP-1 Insights, Menopause Insights and activity tracking tools.
Health Radar builds on Oura's earlier Symptom Radar feature by monitoring biometric signals in the background to help users identify meaningful changes over time. It includes Blood Pressure Signals and Nighttime BP, which analyse nighttime data to surface patterns potentially associated with cardiovascular strain. These are wellness features and do not measure blood pressure in mmHg or diagnose medical conditions. The platform also includes Nighttime Breathing, which provides a rolling 30-day view of sleep-related breathing patterns and disturbances. The feature is designed to help users recognise longer-term changes and understand when further evaluation by a healthcare professional may be appropriate.
GLP-1 Insights allows users taking GLP-1 medications to log doses, schedules, side effects and weight changes alongside metrics such as sleep, activity, readiness and stress. The feature is available in English in India through the Oura app for users with an Oura Ring Gen3 or newer.
For women's health, Menopause Insights includes a Menopause Impact Scale designed to help users understand how perimenopause symptoms may affect sleep, mood, cognition and everyday functioning.
Oura has also introduced Cardio Effort, which tracks cardiovascular exertion during workouts against a personalised baseline, and automatic VO2 Max estimates through GPS-enabled walks, runs and hikes. Automatic VO2 Max is available through Oura Labs.
Oura Ring 5 Price in India and Availability
The Oura Ring 5 is priced at Rs 39,900 for the Black and Silver finishes. The Gold, Deep Rose, Stealth and Brushed Silver options cost Rs 50,900. For interested buyers, the brand has opened pre-ordering on October 22, 2026, through Amazon India and Croma stores. The Oura Membership costs Rs 599 per month, including taxes, and provides access to the ring's app-based health insights.
