Oppo has unveiled a new K-series smartphone in China. The K9 Pro is the company’s latest mid-range smartphone offering for its home country. There is no word on the launch of the K9 Pro in international markets outside China, including India at the moment. The new Oppo smartphone features a MediaTek Dimensity processor under the hood. It also packs a beefy 4500 mAh battery. The device’s rear panel design is quite unique and has a huge block at the top for the rear camera setup. Oppo K9 Pro launched
Oppo K9 Pro launched in China comes in two storage options. The base 8GB + 128GB variant is priced at CNY 2,199 (roughly Rs 25,100). There is also a 12GB RAM variant with 256GB of internal storage. This variant is priced at CNY 2699 (roughly Rs 30,800). It comes in two colours – Obsidian Black and Glacier Blue.
Specs and features
The K9 Pro features a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2400 resolution. It has a hole-punch cutout on the top left corner for the front camera. The display supports 120Hz refresh rate and comes with 100 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut.
Under the hood is a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor, which is paired with up to 12GB of RAM. The phone runs Android 11-based ColorOS 11.3 out of the box. It packs a 4,500 mAh battery with 60W fast charging support.
Oppo’s new smartphone comes with a triple-camera setup on the back. It has a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera sensor. The device has a 16MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo-speakers, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 6, 5G, 4G VoLTE, etc. The phone measures 158.7×73.5×8.5mm and weighs 180 grams.
