Logitech has launched the MX Keypad in India, a dedicated physical control centre designed for developers working across multiple AI coding tools and IDEs. The device lets users create shortcuts, prompt macros and commands for different applications and AI agents from customisable physical keys.
MX Keypad Specifications And Features
The MX Keypad is designed to work across multiple coding platforms, including GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, VS Code and IntelliJ IDEA. Developers can configure individual keys to control one or multiple applications and agents, allowing commonly used commands and prompts to be triggered without switching between different tools.
Logitech is positioning the device as a way to streamline workflows for developers who increasingly use multiple AI assistants while coding.
Logitech has developed the MX Keypad in collaboration with GitHub, with native integration for GitHub, VS Code and the GitHub Copilot app planned from launch. The company says support for additional tools will be expanded over time. Every MX Keypad also includes three months of GitHub Copilot Pro+, which can be redeemed through Logi Options+ by both new and existing users. The MX Keypad also supports Logitech's Logi Actions SDK, allowing software engineers to build custom tools and integrations for the keypad. The company says its AI-friendly documentation allows coding agents to generate custom integrations using the SDK. Developers can also publish their integrations through the Logi Marketplace. The community has already created plugins for Claude Code and OpenAI Codex, including features such as real-time agent status tracking and CLI controls directly from the physical keys.
Logitech has also focused on sustainability with the MX Keypad. The Graphite variant uses 64% certified post-consumer recycled plastic, while its packaging uses paper sourced from FSC-certified forests and other controlled sources.
Logitech MX Keypad Price and Availability in India
The Logitech MX Keypad is priced at Rs 15,999 in India. It will be available in a Graphite colour variant.
The MX Keypad is an interesting product because Logitech isn't trying to make it another generic macro pad. Its focus is specifically on developers juggling multiple AI coding tools, with the ability to assign prompts, commands and agent controls to physical keys. The real value will depend on how many integrations Logitech can build out beyond GitHub Copilot and Claude Code. The support for custom plugins and the Logi Actions SDK gives developers considerable flexibility, though at Rs 15,999, it is clearly aimed at users who spend a significant amount of time working with AI-assisted development tools.
