Haier has introduced its new CIVIC X11 Robot Vacuum Cleaner series in India, aiming to cater to a wide range of users, including pet owners, working professionals, and senior citizens. The lineup consists of two models: the CIVIC X11 RVC and the CIVIC X11 Pro RVC.
The standard model offers a 2-in-1 sweeping and mopping function, while the Pro variant adds automatic dust collection for more convenient day-to-day use. Both models use laser-based navigation to move around efficiently, allowing them to clean across different floor types while avoiding common household obstacles.
There are three cleaning modes available: Manual, Edge, and Spot. In terms of hardware, the devices come with 5000Pa suction power, a 2600mAh battery, and support for Google Voice Control. They also connect to Haier’s HaiSmart app, which allows users to operate the vacuum from a smartphone or even through an Android or Google TV.
One notable feature is the ability to store up to five different floor maps. This makes it easier to use the same vacuum across multiple levels or areas within a home, without having to reset preferences each time.
With the CIVIC X11 series, Haier appears to be focusing on functionality and smart integration, while also addressing the everyday needs of a diverse user base.
Is Haier’s CIVIC X11 Series a Smart Buy?
The Haier CIVIC X11 RVC starts at Rs 29,999, while the more advanced X11 Pro version is priced at Rs 59,999 in India. Both models aim to tackle the cleaning needs of Indian households with a mix of smart features and practical design choices.
Now, here’s the thing. Most people I’ve spoken to still hesitate when it comes to robot vacuum cleaners. There’s this common notion that these devices won’t be as thorough as a domestic helper. Honestly, I used to think the same. After using one at home, I realised they’re great for surface-level cleaning but not perfect around tangled wires, uneven furniture legs, or random clutter. Mine often ended up confused, spinning in one spot when faced with a mess of cables.
But Haier’s approach caught my attention. With 5-map memory and better obstacle recognition, it seems like they’re trying to bridge that gap. The X11 Pro even empties its own dustbin into a larger container, which really cuts down on the need to step in manually every couple of days.
In terms of pricing, Haier’s base X11 sits in the same bracket as the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Cleaner X10, which also starts at Rs 29,999. It’s also priced on par with the Dreame DreameBot D9 Max, another robot vacuum we reviewed recently; which offers solid cleaning capabilities for the same amount. On the other end of the spectrum, the iRobot Roomba Combo J7, which we also tested, costs a much steeper Rs 84,900. So in comparison, Haier’s X11 Pro; despite being priced at Rs 59,999, still comes across as a more feature-rich yet relatively affordable premium option.
Features like anti-fall and anti-collision, along with app-based zone restrictions, make the experience more refined. You can also run them with voice commands using Google Assistant, or simply control them through the HaiSmart app, which adds to the convenience.
Personally, I think the base model is a good starting point if you’re new to robot vacuums. But if you’re someone like me who doesn’t want to babysit a vacuum cleaner, the Pro model feels like a smarter long-term pick despite the higher cost.
As of now, I’m holding off on any final verdict until I’ve spent some real time with it. Keep an eye out for our full review soon on MySmartPrice.
