ASUS launched its ROG Ally in June last year, and now the company is all set to unveil its refreshed version called ‘ROG Ally X’. ASUS has confirmed that the new iteration is coming on June 2. It will be more than just a basic refresh, where the companies change the colour or add an extra storage option. But at the same time, it will not be a complete revamp, either. ASUS has stated that the upcoming ROG Ally X sits somewhere in between.

The company didn’t reveal the spec sheet for the forthcoming gaming console, but they shed some light on some changes. So, let’s take a closer look at ASUS’ next handheld gaming beast:

Here’s everything ASUS Talked About the ROG Ally X

The original ROG Ally was already an enthusiast device, and the upcoming X variant will add extra features. The company stated that it has made most of these changes based on the community’s feedback.

Many had been concerned about the original ROG Ally’s battery life. During our review of the device, we were only able to churn out an hour and 15 minutes of life on a single charge. However, the company has now stated that the upcoming ROG Ally X will significantly improve battery.

Last year’s variant only had a single USB port, and the company seems to have also worked on that. The upcoming device is stated to have some extra ports. Besides, there will be improvements in storage and RAM and some other physical changes.

Furthermore, ASUS will also make some changes to the OS, giving users a cleaner look with added customisation options. However, this update will take place in July.
