Call of Duty Season 06 Brings The Haunting to Black Ops 7 and Warzone on September 18

The Halloween-themed season adds new Multiplayer and Zombies maps, Haunted Hollow in Warzone, fresh weapons, events and a DOOM Event Pass.

Call of Duty is getting spooky as The Haunting returns with Season 06 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone. The new season arrives on September 18 AEST and brings new content across Multiplayer, Zombies and Warzone, including new maps, limited-time modes, weapons, challenges and a new Battle Pass.

Black Ops 7 Gets New Multiplayer Maps

Season 06 adds three new Zombies-themed maps for T.E.D.D. Trials, namely Roadkill, Lost and Inferno. Players can also head to Quantum, an Arctic computing facility, and Bloodstead, where the season's horror theme takes centre stage. The update also introduces new limited-time Multiplayer modes. T.E.D.D. Trials features 6v6 matches where teams compete to complete the most tasks, while Hordepoint lets players use the undead against opposing teams. Freeze Tag rounds out the new modes. Black Ops 7 Ranked Play will also receive a new season with fresh seasonal rewards.

The Zombies experience gets a new Tenshu Survival map, set in the Masaki family's ancestral castle. Players will have to fight their way through Kowakujō's central keep while reaching round milestones to earn rewards. Directed Mode is also coming to Rex Infernus, giving players additional guidance while tackling the Main Quest. The Starting Room mode challenges players to survive for as long as possible without leaving the House. The Rogue Run mode is receiving a major update with new pedestal rewards, including Pack-a-Punch IV, an Ultra-Rarity weapon upgrade and Golden Armor. Casual and Hardcore playlists will also feature Paradox Junction and Kowakujō.

Players who have completed every Main Quest across Black Ops 7's Round-Based Zombies maps can also look forward to a new Super Easter Egg and additional rewards.

The Haunting brings a darker transformation to Haven's Hollow, which becomes Haunted Hollow for Season 06. The map introduces new discoveries, hidden routes and horror-themed encounters. The area will also host the Giant Infected limited-time mode. The 64-player mode pits Survivors against Infected players, with Survivors tasked with arming and detonating a DNA Bomb before they are overwhelmed.

Warzone is also getting new Winstreak Challenges that reward players with six new Weapon Camos across Battle Royale, Resurgence and Black Ops Royale. Ranked Play: Resurgence returns with a shortened competitive season, while Endgame's Avalon gets a night-time makeover that changes the gameplay experience during Activities and Assignments.

New Weapons and DOOM Event Pass

Season 06 adds several new weapons and attachments across the different modes. The Battle Pass introduces the TR51 Para Assault Rifle and VMP SMG, while Events and Weekly Challenges will unlock the Arcblade Melee Weapon and Roc 20mm Special Weapon.

The season also introduces the DOOM Event Pass, bringing additional rewards inspired by the iconic franchise. Players can take part in the Camo Costume Party Event, complete new Dark Ops Challenges and earn additional Weapon Camos throughout the season. More than 45 Weapon Camos will be available through Season 06's challenges. The Season 06 Battle Pass includes new Weapon Blueprints, Operator Skins, Calling Cards, Finishing Moves and Emotes across its free and premium tiers.

Players who purchase BlackCell will also receive additional rewards, including the Revenant Operator and a Mastercraft Weapon Blueprint. Both come with additional variants that can be unlocked through in-game challenges. New Store Bundles will also arrive throughout the season, featuring Ultra Skins, Reactive content and Mastercraft Weapon Blueprints.

Call of Duty Season 06 Release Date

Season 06 launches on September 18 AEST for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone. The update will bring The Haunting content across Multiplayer, Zombies and Warzone, with additional challenges, events and Store offerings arriving throughout the season.

Season 06 looks like a substantial update rather than a simple Halloween-themed event. Haunted Hollow, the Tenshu Survival map and the new Multiplayer maps give players fresh environments to explore, while modes such as Giant Infected and T.E.D.D. Trials add some variety to the usual gameplay loop.

The DOOM Event Pass is also a notable crossover, and the combination of new weapons, more than 45 Weapon Camos and seasonal challenges should give players plenty of reasons to return throughout the season.
