Possible Google Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G (G025E) get FCC and Canada Certifications

Google Pixel 4a 5G and Google Pixel 5 have now appeared on the Canada Certification and FCC websites ahead of the official launch.

Google launched the much anticipated Pixel 4a last month, at the launch Google also announced its plan to launch a 5G variant of Pixel 4a in the coming months. Now, we have spotted a few Google devices on Canada certification and FCC. Going by the model numbers these seem to be upcoming Google Pixel 4a 5G and Google Pixel 5. The device appeared on the Canada certification website with the codename G025E, while the devices with model numbers G025I, G025H, G025E, GTT9Q, G5NZ6, and GD1YQ appeared on FCC. The devices with model number G025E, G025H, G025I should be Google Pixel 4a 5G while GTT9Q, G5NZ6, and GD1YQ should be Google Pixel 5 variants, as previously speculated by Mishaal Rahman.

Google Pixel 4a 5G appears on FCC and Canada Certification

This is the first time ever Google Pixel 4a 5G has been spotted on a certification website. Though the smartphone has been in the leaks for a while now and a lot is already known about the smartphone. The device was leaked in all its glory by the famous leakster, Jon Prosser from FrontPageTech. As per the information leaked by Jon, the Pixel 4a 5G will be unveiled sometime next month, i.e. October.

The Pixel 4a 5G will be just another variant of the recently announced Pixel 4a and we may not see many changes under the hood apart from the 5G system-on-chip. To recall, Pixel 4a features a 5.8-inch full HD+ 60Hz OLED display with a punch-hole notch. Pixel 4a packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G under the hood which is coupled with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. The processor on the Pixel 4a 5G is expected to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G which we have already seen on mid-range devices like OnePlus Nord.

Coming to the optics, the Pixel 4a packs a single 12MP sensor with OIS and LED flash at the back, while it has an 8MP shooter on the front for selfies. There is a 3140mAh battery on the device with support for 18W fast charging, the device has a Type-C 3.1 gen 1 charging port. On the connectivity front, there is dual sim support, but it can take only one physical nano sim, but it has e-sim support as well. The device has a polycarbonate unibody design and there is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Google Pixel 5 clears FCC Certification

Along with the Google Pixel 4a 5G models, Google Pixel 5 has also appeared on FCC. Devices with model number GTT9Q, G5NZ6, and GD1YQ have surfaced, and these should upcoming Google Pixel 5. One of the devices with model number GD1YQ seems to have support for mmWaves as well while GTT9Q, G5NZ6 seems to have sub-6 5G connectivity only.
