Google is likely to launch the Pixel 8 series in October. The company, unlike last year, did not preview the Pixel 8 series at I/O 2023. However, the rumour mill continues to churn out details about the upcoming Google Pixel flagship smartphones months before the launch. Design renders and some key details of the Pixel 8 series have leaked in the past. Adding to the development is a new leak by tipster Yogesh Brar, which reveals the pricing details of the Pixel 8 5G.

The tipster also listed some of the key specifications of the upcoming Google smartphone. Let’s take a look at the Google Pixel 8 price, specifications and other details leaked online.

Google Pixel 8 5G: Price and Specifications (Leaked)

It looks like Google might increase the price of the baseline Pixel 8 5G later this year. The device is tipped to get many upgrades under the hood. The Pixel 7 5G was launched in the US for $599 (roughly Rs 49,500). The Pixel 8 5G is now tipped to launch in the US at a price ranging between $649 (roughly Rs 53,600) and $699 (roughly Rs 57,800).

The Pixel 8 5G is said to launch in early October in the US. Considering the Pixel 7 series is available for purchase in India, Google might launch the successor series later this year here as well. Pixel 8 series could be available for purchase via Flipkart, which has been Google’s official e-commerce partner in India.

The Pixel 8 5G, according to Brar, will sport a 6.71-inch OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and support for a 120Hz refresh rate. There will be 8GB of RAM under the hood. Brar also claims that Google will launch the baseline flagship with two storage options — 128GB and 256GB.

The phone is said to draw power from a Google Tensor G3 SoC under the hood, details of which were tipped recently. The upcoming Google Tensor SoC is said to feature a prime Cortex X3 core, four Cortex-A715 cores and four Cortex-A510.

On the back, there will be a dual-camera setup. The phone is said to feature a 50MP primary camera with support for optical image stabilisation (OIS). Google will use a Samsung GN2 sensor in the Pixel 8 5G, according to Brar. The phone will continue to feature a 12MP ultra-wide camera sensor on the back. For selfies, the Pixel 8 will feature an 11MP front camera.

The device will boot Android 14 out of the box. It is also said to pack a  4,485mah battery under the hood. There will be support for a slightly faster 24W fast charging and 12W wireless charging. Google has stopped bundling a charging adapter in the box and we do not expect anything different for the upcoming model.

Design renders of the Pixel 8 were revealed exclusively by MySmartPrice. The renders show that the Pixel 8 is getting some minor, yet important design tweaks. The Pixel 8 will be more rounded around the corners. The frame is curved and houses the power and volume buttons on the right edge. More details about the Pixel 8 should surface soon. We will share the new details as and when available.
