Honor CEO Appears to Hint at Porsche-Inspired Magic 6 Series Smartphone

Honor is gearing up to launch its Magic 6 series smartphones in its home country. The series is said to feature three models: the standard Magic 6, Magic 6 Pro, and Magic 6 Ultimate. Also, rumours are circulating about a Porsche edition, speculated to be a limited edition variant of the Magic 6 Ultimate.

In the midst of numerous leaks and speculations, Honor CEO Zhao Ming (also known as George Zhao) has shared several images of himself alongside a Porsche executive on the Chinese social media platform Weibo with the caption ‘The future is promising.’

Recently, reputable tipster Digital Chat Station also discussed the possibility of a Porsche design smartphone within the Magic 6 lineup on the same social media platform. The tipster indicated that all the smartphones will be available in different sizes.

Furthermore, it was mentioned that the Magic 6 models will boast an OLED display with a quad-curved design. The series is expected to incorporate two punch-hole cameras, with the standard and Pro variants featuring a round camera module at the back. The Magic 6 Ultimate is anticipated to come with a squarish camera module reminiscent of its predecessor, the Magic 5 Ultimate.

While specific details about the Porsche design are yet to be disclosed, it’s interesting, especially given the studio’s previous association with Huawei, Honor’s former parent company.

Honor Magic 6 Series: Comprehensive Overview

The Honor Magic 6 has been confirmed to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It will also feature on-device AI capabilities, including a new virtual assistant named YOYO, capable of answering questions, executing various tasks, and assisting in creating video clips with photos and videos from the gallery.

The Honor Magic 6 will also introduce a new Magic Capsule, resembling the iPhone’s Dynamic Island. This includes support for eye-tracking, enabling users to interact with the phone using just their eyes. Honor showcased this functionality by using eye-tracking to open Uber.

While the exact specifications are yet to be revealed, there are rumours that the Honor Magic 6 will be equipped with a 66W charger and a 160MP periscope camera.
