Dec 19, 2018 -- Huawei P30 Pro To Get Quad Rear Camera

According to a new leak, Huawei is set to equip its upcoming P30 Pro smartphone with a quadruple rear camera. Renders by case maker Olixar show that the device will have four camera sensors on the back panel, and no rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Although the device is not yet officially announced, Olixar is already accepting pre-orders for a variety of protective cases ostensibly made for the Huawei P30 Pro and the Huawei P30....View more

Enhanced Software and Camera Experience

Unlike the P20 Pro, the P30 Pro will not disappoint in the software department. Huawei’s proprietary EMUI Android skin is not liked by many, but the company has been paying heed and on the P30 Pro, the EMUI won’t be a drawback. It will be more like Android and less like what Huawei wanted to impose with the previous versions. Pretty much like the Oxygen OS on OnePlus, the EMUI on P30 Pro will be smooth, efficient, and less bloated. We can take EMUI 9.0 as the base for the EMUI version that we will see on the P30 Pro.

Taking a step further from the P20 Pro, the P30 Pro features quad-camera setup on the rear camera setup. Huawei will be the first manufacturer to use Sony’s unannounced IMX607 flagship image sensor. The Sony IMX607 is an upcoming 38 megapixel stacked 1/1.8 image sensor with a square pixel array. The sensor will also feature Quad-Pixel PDAF for faster autofocus speeds. Thanks to the large sensor size, we can expect the Sony IMX607 to deliver improved image quality when compared to the sensors used in the majority of flagship smartphones released this year. However, we should also keep in mind that the sensor has a much higher 38MP resolution, which would bring down the effective pixel size.

In-display Fingerprint Sensor, Improved Battery

The Huawei P30 Pro will most likely settle for an In-display fingerprint sensor just like many of the OEMs who have embraced this technology instead of a physical fingerprint sensor under the Home button or on the rear panel. Coming to the powerhouse of the phone, i.e. battery; a 4,200mAh battery backs the Huawei P30 Pro with support for super fast charging. The phone will come bundled with a 40W Super Charge-compatible charger. It will also support wireless charging.
