iQOO is gearing up for the launch of a new Z-series phone. The company has confirmed that the Z7 Pro 5G is launching soon in India. iQOO Z7 Pro 5G will sit above the existing Z7 5G and Z7s 5G, which were unveiled earlier this year in India. Ahead of the launch, the company has confirmed some details about the phone. The Z7 Pro 5G will sport a curved display, which will be a first in the Z-series in India.
Now, a new leak has revealed the performance unit details of the phone. According to tipster Mukul Sharma, aka Stufflistings, the Z7 Pro 5G will feature a MediaTek Dimensity SoC. The tipster also revealed the AnTuTu score of the phone. Let’s take a look at the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G specifications, features and other details ahead of its India launch.
iQOO Z7 Pro 5G India Launch: What We Know So Far
The iQOO Z7 Pro 5G will launch as a new mid-range smartphone in India. The phone’s exact launch date is yet to be officially confirmed. While we wait for the launch date details, a new leak has revealed the performance unit specs of the Z7 Pro 5G. Tipster Mukul Sharma claims that the Z7 Pro 5G will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC. The same chipset is found in the Vivo V27 5G, which was launched earlier this year in India. The SoC is based on a 4nm fabrication process and has a peak clock speed of 2.8 GHz.
The Z7 Pro 5G will have a claimed AnTuTu score of over 7,00,000 points and is said to be the fastest in the segment. At the time of writing this, iQOO has not confirmed any details about the SoC or the AnTuTu score.
The company, however, has confirmed that the Z7 Pro 5G will sport a curved display with a hole-punch cutout at the top centre for the front camera. The chin bezel’s image, as teased, is slightly thick compared to the rest of the bezels around the screen.
The Z7 Pro 5G is confirmed to be available via Amazon India. The microsite does not reveal any specifications at the moment. However, thanks to the rumour mill, we do have some details about the device. The Z7 Pro 5G is tipped to sport a 6.78-inch AMOLED display. The screen size is the same as the rest of iQOO’s premium smartphone lineup in India. The AMOLED display will offer support for a 120Hz refresh rate and a 20:9 aspect ratio.
It is also said to launch with 8GB and 12GB of RAM options. We can expect iQOO to launch the phone with 128GB and 256GB storage options. The Z7 Pro 5G will also boot Android 13 out of the box and have Funtouch OS 13 on top of Android.
Under the hood, there will be a 4600mAh battery, which will offer support for 66W FlashCharge fast charging tech. The Z7 Pro will also offer a dual-camera setup on the back, according to the leaked details. There will be a 64MP primary camera sensor and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies, the phone will feature a 16MP front camera.
iQOO is said to launch the device in India between a price range of Rs 25,000 and Rs 30,000. The phone might debut during the first or second week of August.
